The next titles to be released in the popular MySims franchise have been revealed. EA announced that MySims Party and MySims Racing will be released for the Wii and Nintendo DS in 2009.
MySims Party for the Wii features 50 mini-games including snowboarding, dancing and escaping robots. Each mini-game is hosted by a different MySim, each with unique skills and individual ratings for endurance, speed and luck that mean players need to select the best one for the task. The game allows you to play the mini-games one after another or friends can compete in a themed festival. The DS version of MySims Party offers players 40 mini-games, ranging from digging up fossils to heading out on a FPS mission.
MySims Racing for the Wii will see players facing off against MySims opponents on various exotic tracks and includes multiplayer racing for up to four players. Keep an eye out for power-ups and customize your car’s body, paint job and accessories. The DS version of MySims Racing enables players to race against up to three friends using local wireless or Nintendo Wi-Fi.
EA have announced their partnership with United Talent Agency Inc (UTA) to explore movie and TV opportunities, essentially to assist with “moving its intellectual property into the realm of large-budget motion pictures and television series.”
UTA represents figures in “motion pictures, television, music, books, digital media, video gaming, mobile entertainment, commercials, licensing and live entertainment,” founded in 1991 in none other than Beverly Hills, California.
EA said UTA will aid in the production of an animated TV series based on their MySims range of games, amongst other projects.
