I want a dirt bike. It does not have to be too powerful, and it can have either two or four wheels. I think I am not alone either, as nearly any conversation about dirt bikes between my friends and I will inevitably turn into hours of speculation of what bike would be the best, what gear you need, where the best riding spots are and what sentence the wife will dish out if I traded her car in for one.
The MX vs ATV series has been a great escape for these fantasies of mine, as I realize the real deal is not worth the risk of physical injury or the financial strain on my bank account. The latest in this series, Alive, unfortunately does not live up to its name and is pretty dead on arrival.

It’s almost time for the weekend, and it’s freezing cold here in Durban with an occasional spot of torrential rain!
What’s a gamer to do?
Keep the doors shut tight, dive under a blanket and indulge in some guilt-free gaming, that’s what!
This week has been incredibly hectic what with E3 2011 and all, so pick through El33tonline’s massive amount of news coverage, our latest reviews and a gigantic collection of competitions, all before finding out what members of El33tonline will be up to this weekend, and what games we’ll be playing (or not, as the case may be):
It’s been another busy week here at El33t Towers, with plenty of E3 news already starting to trickle in over the past few days.
Next week will be a crazy time, with the team working around the clock to bring you the latest announcements and reveals from LA. However, before then the show must go on so we’ll be hard at work this weekend putting the latest titles through their paces to keep you up to date on what’s new on our gaming shelves.
Take a deep breath everyone, it’s almost E3 time! Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
To (temporarily) stem the tyrannical rise and rise of Zumba Fitness, Brink and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean were unleashed on UK gamers late last week, and according to Chart Track, these debut titles were able to appear at No. 1 and No. 2 on the region’s sales chart respectively for the week ending May 14th.
Although the number of top games releasing this month is low compared to, say, April, the quality to quantity ratio is truly amazing, as every week for the next few weeks there’s some or other title that’s well worth your attention, across all genres.
We’ve collected together a list of games releasing over the course of the next few weeks (which you can peruse below), while members of El33tonline have sounded off on the titles that they’re most looking forward to, and that you may be chomping for too!
During THQ’s quarterly earning report recently, the publisher revealed that Saints Row 3 is indeed in the works, while announcing a slight release date slip for the upcoming Homefront shooter, as well as release windows for Darksiders and Dark Millennium Online.
THQ announced late yesterday that the release of Red Faction: Armageddon has been pushed back to May of 2011, after the action adventure title was originally meant to release in March.
While this means that the title has been delayed by ‘only’ two months, the release postponement has, and will, dramatically affect THQ’s finances.
