Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection Screenshot 1

One of the upcoming PSN titles I’m most excited for is Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection - an arcade shooter featuring HD remastered versions of the two Wii games Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. I never got to play the originals so the notion of playing upgraded versions of these games using PlayStation Move is very appealing indeed!

Datura Banner

Datura is an upcoming PlayStation Network title that is designed to take full advantage of PS Move’s capabilities, although it can also be played with a standard controller. While we’re used to seeing Move-enabled games aimed at a younger, more casual audience, Datura is a surreal and sometimes violent journey through a sequence of mysterious, choice-laden scenarios.

The latest free update for LittleBigPlanet 2 was just released this week, but did you know that it added Move support to the game? Yip, that’s right, LittleBigPlanet 2 is now Move-enabled so you can control your Sackboy, or Sackgirl (ahem), with the Move controller and Navigation controller.

Start the Party was one of the Move’s launch games, and it can be a lot of fun in a party setting. Start the Party: Save the World continues with the same formula, but includes 20 totally new games as well as the ability to interfere with the current player with a DualShock controller, adding to the interaction. The developers have also increased the use of augmented reality in the mini-games in some clever ways.

It is a popular notion among Tolkien fans that the world can be divided into two types of people, “those who have read The Lord of the Rings and those who are going to.” And while this is an admirable concept, the truth of the matter is that as technology advances so does reading recede into the background a little more. Sadly many of this generation would rather watch the movie of the book, or perhaps an even greater tragedy miss out on that classic new book smell altogether by using their Kindle. Yet perhaps it is better to experience the beauty of The Lord of the Rings through the wonderfully crafted movies, which were based very closely upon the books, than not at all. The same goes for the videogame because it remains a wonderful journey for anyone to embark upon, one that fans of the series will enjoy and newcomers will delight in.

Sony have really cranked up their internal product development lately, with a number of first party titles being released over the past few months. And with the PlayStation Move still fresh in the wild who can blame them? The latest game to hit shelves is SingStar Dance, a new addition to the SingStar library, one that extends the singing experience with a dancing option to deliver a fun, party game that younger players will delight in…and older ones too if they give it half a chance!

SingStar Dance lets you put your dance moves to the test in addition to belting out the high notes from a batch of new tracks. You can play the game solo or team up with a friend to get your groove on. In fact up to four players can sing and dance with two microphones and two PlayStation Move controllers.
