From Renegade Kid, developers of previous DS horror first person shooter, Dementium: The Ward, comes a new horror-slanted FPS, Moon, in which you’ll discover the secrets the moon has in its belly after finding a hidden hatch on the surface, leading to its insides.
While it looks like a PlayStation 1 game in terms of textures and geometry, the animation system looks a bit smoother than something from that era, with some interesting enemies and what looks to be a romp on the surface of the moon. Moon is coming to the DS at an unspecified time in the future (probably later this year).
Renegade Kid has announced that the Nintendo DS title codenamed Project M has been renamed Moon.
This sci-fi action adventure title places gamers on the surface of the Moon in 2058. While researchers are constructing a lunar base, they stumble upon a sealed alien hatch.
The game will use the same 3D engine, known as the Renegade Engine, that Renegade Kid used to create its previous NDS game titled Dementium: The Ward. Moon will be published by Mastiff.
“Moon is dark, twisted, heart pounding, frequently violent and always disturbing. Pretty much what you’d expect when you take madmen like Renegade Kid, jack their technology up to the next level, and turn them loose,” said Bill Swartz, Head of Mastiff.
“Moon demonstrates the impressive power of Nintendo DS, while appealing to a crowd that’s looking for a first-person action-adventure title that delivers a menacing story and really puts your gaming skills to the test,” said Jools Watsham, Owner and Creative Director at Renegade Kid.
