I have two words for you: Minecraft Phenomenon.

When I took on Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, I had volunteered to review it for nothing else but simple curiosity. Even though I’ve been seeing mention of this game in Internet articles for a while now and I’ve heard people talking in hushed tones about the game around the office water cooler, I had no idea what Minecraft was and I needed to find out for myself what all the fuss was about.

Have you ever heard of a guy named Notch (aka Markus Persson)? He made a small little game called Minecraft. He then sold it before it was released and made, like, a gazillion bucks! He then got into legal fights with Bethesda, tried to help Tim Schafer make Psychonauts 2 and named his next game 0x10c (no, I do not know how to pronounce that either).

Before Minecraft made him his millions, however, Notch made a little game called Breaking the Tower. The game is available on the Mojang website for the sweet price of your time, and nothing else.

That means for the other half of the world it will arrive on Xbox Live Arcade this Summer. (Ok, technically that still only covers about three quarters of the world; a whole bunch of people don’t experience Summer or Winter because at the equator there is only Wet and More Wet).
