A job recruitment page has very suddenly appeared on Konami’s website detailing a variety of positions related to the development of ‘the next Metal Gear Solid’ game.
It’s been over three years since Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots convinced a legion of gamers to leave their PlayStation 2s behind and invest in a shiny new PS3. Since then the man behind the iconic stealth series - Hideo Kojima - has remained silent on the next numbered entry in the series.
However, that’s all about to change according to a teaser for the Christmas issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK.
[Update] Hideo Kojima has additionally revealed that he won’t be attending E3 2011 in person. Details below. [End of Update]
Hideo ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Kojima is always a busy game developer, and if he’s not thinking about the future of his most beloved franchise, working on a project for a year only to have it seemingly scrapped, or dreaming up new ways to thrill us with new technology, then he’s tweeting about his many and varied eating habits.
What about when he’s not doing any of that? He’s answering questions about Metal Gear Solid, and telling us about mysterious voice recording sessions (with pictures, to boot!).
