As fans of the epic adventure game series Shenmue will know, the series was always meant to be a trilogy, but thanks to an insanely expensive development period and poorer-than-expected sales for the original game and its sequel, the planned third entry was never made.
While this of course meant that the gaming world was deprived of another masterpiece from SEGA and legendary game developer Yu Suzuki, it also meant that the story of Shenmue was never resolved, and may never be resolved.
The videogame comedy trio known as Mega64 have finally announced a solid release date for their years-in-the-making Version 3 DVD, revealing that on May 28th of this year, it will be ready for public consumption.
With Version 3, we’ll not only be able to get our hands on a delectable collection of Mega64’s videogame-related skits, but the next (and final?) adventures of Dr. Poque, Horatio, Marcus, and others will finally be revealed.
