An excellent new trailer for Hudson’s Lost in Shadow action platformer has emerged showcasing the game’s unique light and shadow gameplay, as the protagonist ‘shadow boy’ becomes a being of light with a more physical presence in the world.
Transforming into a light creature will enable the boy to perform actions that he wouldn’t ordinarily be able to as a shadow, helping him solve puzzles and progress in this less physical form.
The trailer is also excellent for another reason: It announces a Western release date for Lost in Shadow on the Wii.
Last week we introduced you to a new Wii title that will be arriving next year courtesy of classic developer/publisher Hudson.
The name of that title was The Tower of Shadow, although that name, as far as can be seen, is no more, now carrying the moniker of Lost in Shadow, which is unfortunately even more generic if such a thing was possible.
What is definitely not generic about the game is the gameplay concept, as you control the movement of a character represented as a shadow and navigate it over other shadows cast by physical platforms and objects, with moveable shadows (as a result of moving lights) adding an extra twist to proceedings.
You can read all about it via our previous coverage of Lost in Shadow (when it was still known as The Tower of Shadow), which includes a debut trailer, as well as glimpse some more newly released screenshots of the game below:
