Although LocoRoco fans around the world have been able to get their hands on LocoRoco 2 for quite some time now, the US has had to wait its collective turn to experience the sequel to the original, zany PSP game featuring the wonderful squishy, singing blobs.

The trailer below will either make you love LocoRoco 2, with its vibrant colours, cutesy characters and energetic soundtrack, or you’ll feel ill after watching it… just a warning:

Citizens of the US are finally able to get LocoRoco 2 on PSP! Hurray!

It’s been announced via the US PlayStation Blog that LocoRoco 2, the next adventures of the rolling, rollicking, rambunctious creatures, the LocoRoco, is coming to PSPs in the US for a really low price – just the thing for these tough economic times! Loco Roco 2’s producer, Tsubasa Inaba reveals:

“On February 10, LocoRoco 2 will be on store shelves for only $19.99!”

“In a time where it can be tough to spend money on games, we’re definitely excited to bring PSP players the world of LocoRoco for this super-low price. I mean, what else can you get these days for only $20, besides LocoRoco 2 and a Barack Obama Action Figure? The answer is: not much!”

El33tonline really enjoyed the first LocoRoco, so you should definitely give LocoRoco 2 a look-in if you’re in the UK or Europe, and look forward to it if you’re in the US!

If you didn’t like the original LocoRoco on PSP, you just don’t have a heart. LocoRoco 2 continues in the fine level-tilting tradition of its predecessor, while introducing a new story.

The Moja Troop, the ‘enemies’ in the first game, are now able to sing and are sucking the energy out of everyone. It’s up to the LocoRoco (i.e. you) to travel the world and try to perk everybody back up again. The LocoRoco can swim underwater this time and are also able to manipulate more objects around them than before.

LocoRoco 2 is coming to PSP later this year.
