Little Deviants was one of Sony’s first-party titles that featured heavily in the PS Vita’s pre-launch marketing campaign. Essentially a mini-game compilation designed to showcase the Vita’s wide array of non-traditional control options, Little Deviants is a budget priced title that offers a few hours of enjoyable interaction with the handheld and occasionally provides an inspiring glimpse at what type of gameplay experiences are possible on the Vita.

Sony is giving its North American customers an opportunity to pick up PS Vita a week before its official launch on February 22nd by means of the ‘First Edition Bundle’. This means you can be playing on your very own PS Vita as early as February 15th next year. This pre-order offer is currently only available at Amazon but may also be extended to other retailers in the coming weeks.

Little Deviants is a game in development for the PlayStation Vita by Bigbig Studios and it pretty much screams launch game. This is because the game is designed purely around exploring the Vita’s hardware and input mechanisms. As such it’s a bunch of small games centred around these input mechanisms, but unlike a game like WarioWare which explores one input mechanism (such as a single button press or tilt controls) in many ways, Little Deviants looks to be more like Wii Play, which uses different control mechanisms in each game to get the player used to them. There is no indication so far whether the game will be a launch game, but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t one when the Vita launches next year in the West.
