Activision and Radical Entertainment are dialling up the excitement for the pair’s Prototype 2 by announcing a special limited edition offer that will net players extra pieces of content delivered over seven weeks following the launch of the game in April.
One of the 3DS titles I’m most looking forward to this year is Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep on PSP is one of my all-time favourite handheld games, so I expect big things from the latest portable entry in this quirkily charming series.
Gamers with a penchant for quirky limited editions will want to take a good look at publisher Deep Silver’s recently announced ‘Stray Sheep Edition’ for adult adventure Catherine.
The game will be released in European territories sometime during February next year, and for £15 extra (i.e. £55) you can pick up the limited edition of Catherine on either PS3 or Xbox 360.
EA South Africa recently confirmed that the amazing limited Collector’s Edition for Mass Effect 3 will indeed be making it’s way into the country, and simultaneously announced the contents of the package.

In addition to announcing a new expansion pack for World of Warcraft this weekend, Blizzard revealed the collector’s edition for the developer’s early 2012 action RPG, Diablo III, while releasing a jaw-dropping new cinematic trailer and detailing how certain members of its community will automatically get the game for free.
Let’s start with the collector’s edition of Diablo III, which contains the following items:
Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII-2 will see a release in Japan this year and early next year in Western territories, with details of a limited edition Lightning-themed PlayStation 3 console also revealed.
As 2011 is Sonic T. Hedgehog’s 20th anniversary year, it naturally makes sense to celebrate the little blue speedster with a brand new game that hopes to buck the trend of below average Sonic experiences and finally deliver something fans have been waiting for – a good, solid, fast-paced platform game.
According to SEGA, it also makes sense to release a version of this game that’s coated with awesome memorabilia, and so the collector’s edition of Sonic Generations has been announced for PS3 and Xbox 360.

News coming out of the just-started Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles has revealed that a limited edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3-branded Xbox 360 will be making its way into stores when the game launches on November 8th, while branded headsets and controllers will become available before then to get you ready for Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer’s industry-crushing game.

While confirming the news that pre-order numbers for EA’s Battlefield 3 are currently sitting at ten times those of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in a similar timeframe, the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition has been announced and further details on intriguing UK-specific pre-order bonuses have also emerged.
EA has taken the wraps off the Need for Speed: The Run Limited Edition, a racier version of the game that will be hitting shelves in November this year.
