The popularity of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) as a sport has blown up in recent years, amassing a fan following to rival and exceed other full contact fighting sports like boxing and professional wrestling.

As with any popular sport, videogames based on MMA have surfaced to provide fans with another way of enjoying their favourite pastime, and the last few years have seen the release of titles to allow players to step into the famed ‘Octagon’ fighting cage and do battle with household name fighters.

Next week, 505 Games and developer Kung Fu Factory will release an MMA game of their own. Titled Supremacy MMA, this game will aim to offer a little something different to what MMA fans are used to by providing a title that blends traditional MMA fighting styles with brutal arcade gameplay.
