Three new Xbox LIVE Arcade games have hit the service; all of which look interesting enough to at least look at the trial; all of which are going for the low, low price of 800 MS Points each.

First up, we have ION Assault, “an action-packed arcade-style space adventure with an unprecedented particle physics engine.” And don’t we all just love an unprecedented physic engine! It continues: “Fight alone or cooperatively through four different modes and more than 20 exciting levels.”

Black Inc. has announced that Ion Assault will be released on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points later this summer. German developer Coreplay will handle development duties.

The game includes four scenarios, each featuring different types of opponents, bosses and background themes. Players can upgrade their spaceships and enjoy various power-ups including ones that create temporary black holes and increase ship speed.
