Speaking to consumer site VG247 at the Game::Business::Law Summit recently, Insomniac CEO Ted Price has confirmed that the developer will no longer work on the Resistance game franchise and will instead leave it up to other developers to continue the series.
Insomniac Games has announced that the Brutality Pack for Resistance 3 is now available on the PlayStation Store for $3.99.
Insomniac has released details on the next major patch for Resistance 3, 1.05, which is set to add absolute megatons of improvements, fixes and balance tweaks to the studio’s latest awesome first-person shooter.
The full list lies in wait below, but keep in mind that this next Resistance 3 patch will also add two more multiplayer maps, namely Creek and The Granery, both of which will become available when you grab the patch, once Sony approves it for release.
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, the new co-operative adventure from Insomniac Games, is now available across North America, while European gamers will have to wait a little while longer (until the 21st) to get their hands on the game.
The first Survival downloadable content pack for Resistance 3 is now available on the PlayStation Network.
Insomniac Games has kicked off the limited Beta for Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, giving lucky PS3 players the chance to test out two sections of this co-operative adventure with lots of weapons and character’s special ability.

As you’ve no doubt realised by now, Insomniac Games’ latest Chimeran-infested first-person shooter was released in the US today in the form of the outstanding Resistance 3!

James Stevenson and Tom Pickett from Insomniac presented Resistance 3 to us at gamescom, and the singleplayer story mode is looking very interesting. The bit they showed us was part of Chapter 8: The Plan, and it followed Jo Capelli as he searches for the remains of an aircraft that he saw crashing. Capelli meets some people living in St. Louis, a resistance group known as the Remnants led by a man by the name of ‘Charlie,’ who takes Capelli back with him to their hideout.
Adding a twist to this chapter, Capelli’s friend and scientist, Malakov, is in dire need of penicillin, and it turns out this ‘Remnant’ group that he’s met up with has some, so in return for the medicine that will save his friend’s life, Capelli agrees to help the Remnants with a dangerous mission to take out a Chimeran dropship to get their hands on a power core.

It’s just been announced that Insomniac Games’ Resistance 3 has gone gold, which means it’s complete and ready for mass production and then distribution to a retailer near you!
Senior Community Manager at Insomniac Games, James Stevenson wrote on the PlayStation Blog:
In the first of a series of official gameplay demonstration videos, Insomniac Games has given us good looks at a batch of incredible weaponry players will get their hands on in Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One in October.
Weapons included in the video range from the ‘Combuster’ and ‘Darkstar Fission Tether,’ to the ‘Warmonger’ and ‘Thundersmack’ – all brilliant names for guns, you’ll surely agree, all bound to cause maximum havoc in this four-player co-operative game!
When will we finally be able to get our first hands-on with Resistance 3 multiplayer?
We were told previously that the multiplayer beta for Insomniac’s amazing Resistance 3 would begin in August for European PlayStation Plus subscribers, as well as North American gamers who had received a code with the purchase of SOCOM 4.
But… what date?
Insomniac Games recently confirmed news that the planned multiplayer beta for Resistance 3 will go live next month, in early August, for North American gamers who bought SOCOM 4 and European gamers signed up to PlayStation Plus.
Cause for celebration, we at El33tonline would definitely say, but what’s going to keep us busy until then and help us unlock content for Resistance 3?
What about a newly revealed web-based social game called Global Resistance?
Just in case you weren’t excited enough already about Insomniac Games’ upcoming blockbuster first-person shooter, Resistance 3, here’s a trailer of the Survivor Edition to take your excitement up another notch.
Insomniac Games has released an update on the Resistance 3 Beta, detailing when it’s launching and how gamers can get access.
The Friends and Family beta will kick off next week, giving the developer the chance to “test [their] servers before the mad rush of public beta users from SOCOM 4 and EU PlayStation Plus.”
