Infinite Undiscovery Box ArtSquare Enix’s Infinite Undiscovery for the Xbox 360 sold an impressive 90 000 copies in its opening week in Japan.

Debuting at number 3 on Media Create’s software chart, sales of this popular Xbox 360 exclusive action RPG combined with the price cut of the Xbox 360 in Japan (the Xbox 360 Arcade is now the least expensive current-gen console in Japan) will no doubt spur sales of the 360 in the land of the rising sun.

Hold on to your seats ladies and gentlemen, because early reports indicate that the Xbox 360 outsold not only the PS3 this week, but also beat the Wii, PSP and PS2 to claim second place on the hardware chart behind the Nintendo DS Lite.

Stay tuned for the official Media Create hardware figures, which will be released tomorrow.
