Sega has partnered with PlatinumGames in an exclusive four-game deal. PlatinumGames will develop three new Sega titles, Madworld, Infinite Line and Bayonetta, as well as a fourth title that has yet to be announced but will be directed by Shinji Mikami.
Clover Studio, a subsidiary of Capcom, was responsible for Okami for the PS2, Viewtiful Joe and God Hand. It was home to Atsushi Inaba (producer of Viewtiful Joe), Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil), and Hideki Kamiya (director of Devil May Cry and Okami). The studio closed in 2006 and ex-key members of Clover Studio started Seeds which later merged with ODD to form PlatinumGames in Osaka, Japan.
Madworld is a third person action game headed to exclusively to the Wii in Quarter 1 of 2009. The game is produced by Resident Evil creator Atsushi Inaba and will feature a black and white style to best express the red blood. All the colour was removed from the game except the blood to best convey the blood and themes of brutality and exhilaration.
