iMP 2 in 1 Component AV CableThe iMP 2 in 1 Component AV Cable lets PSP owners hook their handhelds up to a TV set in order to make use of the larger display. The dilemma here though, is whether one really needs such a product.

The cable itself is well-made, except for the rather clunky switch near the output connectors. This allows the signal to be switched between component or composite output, depending on the type of signal one’s TV can accept. While the switch casing is large and clunky, the switch itself is impractically tiny, and could definitely have been better designed. That’s not too much of an issue though, as owners would very seldom find need to make use of the switch. The reason for this is that the cable’s composite output is of limited use, as PSP game video can only be displayed over a component connection.

A case for your DS is essential – being an item that is meant to be carried around and in need of protection from the pavement, the luggage people at the airport and the pollution in Joburg. And if you’re going to cover your sleek DS Lite it had better be with something that looks at least as good as it does and doesn’t get in the way if you want to play a game while on the bus, train, or in a queue (although I’m not sure anyone outside Japan does this).

iMP Nintendo DS Lite Car Charger My DS has been my trusty companion on a few trips between Durban and Cape Town by car, and although it’s got good battery life it can’t survive the 18 hour journey without charging. This is the most obvious scenario where the iMP DS Lite car charger can help – charging your DS Lite as you play or between games.

iMP Boxing GlovesSince every Wii comes bundled with Wii Sports, it’s a safe bet that most Wii gamers out there have stepped into the boxing ring at least a few times. If you are looking to make your boxing experience more realistic, the iMP Boxing Gloves are the perfect solution.

The iMP Boxing Gloves are compatible with all boxing games, so you can use them with both Wii Sports and Wii Fit. The boxing gloves are fashioned after the traditional colours of boxing gloves, black with red trim. Apart from looking the part, the gloves are soft to the touch and padded for comfort.

iMP Play and Charge CableHaving an intense gaming session rudely interrupted by a controller that runs out of battery power has brought frustration to many a PS3 owner. While an official controller charge cable comes with the console, it’s far too short, meaning that one has to stop playing in order to charge the controller. Consequently, PS3 owners have been craving a play and charge solution such as the one available to Xbox 360 owners. To this end, iMP have released their Play and Charge Cable. Plugging into the PS3’s USB ports, it’s designed to allow the PS3 controller to be charged while playing.

iMP 13 in 1 Travel KitThe iMP 13 in 1 Travel Kit is a great solution for DS Lite owners who are in dire need of a carry case that can hold, not only your DS Lite, but other bits and pieces in the accessory range.

The case itself is a stylish, understated black ‘plastic leather’ zip case, that fits the DS Lite very snugly indeed, with no chance of sliding around once it’s zipped up.

The case feels so solid, in fact, that it seems as though you would be able to drop it without damaging the valuable console within (El33tonline does not recommend dropping your DS under any circumstances).

The Wii Fit Balance Board tends to look neat and clean when you first unpack it, but give it a couple of hectic workout sessions and the white colour becomes a bit grubby. Although you can wipe the board clean, it doesn’t ever get back to its original pristine white finish.

iMP ProSkin for Wii Fit BoxThe extreme approach to solving this problem would be for everyone to wash their feet before climbing on to your board. There is a more convenient option thanks to the iMP ProSkin for Wii Fit which is basically a silicon protector skin for the Wii Fit Balance Board.

The iMP ProSkin for Wii Fit is made from a tough yet soft high grade silicon. The skin fits over the balance board, protecting it from scratches but, perhaps more importantly, keeping it clean! Fitting the skin is simple, pull it over the board and slip the straps over the four feet. Once fitted the skin leaves the power button exposed making it easy to switch the board on and off.

The skin is soft to the touch and comfortable to stand on. It has raised bumps where you place your two feet, giving you increased grip, especially important for those tricky Yoga poses and Hula Hoop sessions! The skin is durable and easy to wipe clean – we highly recommend getting yourself one, especially if you have more than one person making use of the Wii Fit Balance Board.

iMP ProSkin for Wii Fit

The iMP ProSkin for Wii Fit is available in two colours, pink and blue, designed to add a splash of colour to your Wii white wardrobe. It is available for R189 from ToyZone, Incredible Connection, Take2 and Kalahari.

The iMP Pro Gun Light Pistol is perfect for those FPS fans who are looking for an accessory to make their gaming experience just that much more believable.

Remove the Wii Remote’s wrist strap before sliding the Wii Remote horizontally into the top slot of the pistol. The design leaves the front sensor bar of the Remote exposed and I never encountered interference during gameplay. It is a tight fit so there is no chance of the Wii Remote falling out during a fierce gun battle. It will look at home next to your Wii given its clean white finish.

iMP Pro Gun Light Pistol

The trigger of the pistol acts as the ‘B’ button of the Wii Remote while you continue to use the ‘A’ button as usual. You can use the pistol for any shooting games that only require the Wii Remote since it is not possible to connect the nunchuk while the Wii Remote is in the accessory. It’s great for games like Wii Play and Ghost Squad.

To use the pistol simply point it at the screen and use the trigger to fire. I actually found it easier to operate than pushing ‘B’ and that it makes aiming easier. Overall I am not sure if it increases your marksmanship but it sure is fun!

The iMP Pro Gun Light Pistol is available for R99 at Incredible Connection, Take2, Kalahari and BT Games.

iMP Dual Charge Station for WiiIf you are an avid gamer like me you will know just how many battery lives get sucked into your Wii Remotes. The iMP Dual Charge Station is an affordable solution to your battery woes.

Firstly, as you may have noticed by now, it is a dual charge station so you can charge not one but two Wii Remotes at the same time. The pack includes twin rechargeable battery packs as well as a charge station and USB cable charge.

Setting it up is easy, simply connect the charge station to your Wii via the USB port and replace the two normal batteries and back cover of the Wii Remote with the rechargeable battery pack. You will need to charge both rechargeable battery packs in the charge station over twelve hours before you use them for the first time but after that batteries on your shopping list will be a thing of the past!

iMP Dual Charge Station for WiiIt is quick and easy to slot the Wii Remotes into the charge station. There is no need to remove the batteries from the Wii Remote, they charge while still tucked safely away inside the Remote making it convenient to recharge and play. The dual station also features twin charge indicator lights to show the battery charge status.

The iMP Dual Charge Station is available in stores for R299. You can purchase it at Kalahari, Take 2, BT Games, Incredible Connection or ToyZone.

So what are you waiting for, power up today!

Have you entered El33tonline’s competitions yet? You haven’t? Well, if you want to win iMP accessories for your DS Lite or Wii Balance Board, as well as some great Xbox 360 games and accessories just by answering some easy questions, read on!

Eleetonline Competitions!

El33tonline, in association with MobileG, have two iMP accessories to give away. The first is a nifty device called the iMP Play and Store Case, for storing 3 cartridges and a stylus with your Nintendo DS Lite - no extra carry cases required! The other accessory is the iMP PowerFit Battery, a rechargeable battery for the Wii Balance Board! If you’d like to win either of these prizes, head over to the iMP competition page for more details.

We also have two Xbox 360 games for you to win, each with their own accessories. A copy of Ninja Gaiden 2 with a Play and Charge kit is up for the taking, while a copy of Vampire Rain with an Xbox cap and lanyard is also up for grabs! Fancy adding those to your game library? Go to the Xbox 360 game competition page for more details.

iMP ProPower BatteryThe iMP PowerFit Battery is the answer to your Wii Fit woes! It is a replacement rechargeable battery for the Wii Balance Board that increases your playing time and, because it is able to be charged over 500 times, cuts out your need to buy replacement batteries.

With more games on the horizon that will make use of the Wii Balance Board (such as Family Ski), its clear that the Balance Board is here to stay. The iMP PowerFit Battery conveniently replaces the four batteries that are required for the Balance Board with just one, meaning you have less time to worry about replacing batteries and more time to play.

Simply plug the battery into the USB port on your Wii using the included cable to charge it – you can even play and recharge the battery at the same time.

The iMP PowerFit Battery costs R199 and is available at ToyZone, AnimeWorx, Kalahari, Take 2 and BT Games.

The iMP Pro Store Case is a great option if you want to protect your DS from scratches but don’t really want an extra bag to have to carry. The case acts as a shell around your DS that you never have to take off; you can play games while its on without much more than a slightly heavier weight to hold - which isn’t a problem unless you’re playing stylus based games where you don’t hold the DS vertically like The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass or Geometry Wars: Galaxies. Some might even find the added layer of polycarbonate makes the DS Lite easier to hold as it may fit their hands better.

iMP Pro Store CaseIn addition to the protection the case provides, there is also some storage space - below the bottom half of the DS the case has a little tray that pops out when you pull on it. This tray is able to hold 3 DS game cartridges and a stylus - in fact you have to store your stylus here as the case covers over the original stylus cavity. The tray is both fun and functional, and the whole package, including a stylus, comes in red, pink and black for just R99. The iMP Pro Store Case is available at ToyZone, AnimeWorx, Kalahari and Take 2.
