DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue Logo

Irreverence? Thy name is DeathSpank! How can a game manage to tell an epic tale of ‘Six Noble Thongs of Virtue’ (forged by a master craftsman, no less), with a straight face, and get away with it?

It’s beyond me, but somehow the developers at Hothead Games have been able to release a stylish trailer for their new upcoming game, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, explaining the history of the Six Thongs and how their power (…) has corrupted the ‘Order of the Thong’…

… Oh, and there’s gameplay from the new title in there as well:

DeathSpank - Unicorn Poop“A trailer for a game’s weapons? Really?”

Really.

Honestly, at this stage we would use any excuse we could to talk more about Hothead’s action RPG, DeathSpank, and if we have to post up a weapons and loot trailer, so be it. Although this particular weapons and loot trailer is a little bit different, thanks to the inclusion of a… certain item. A certain ‘Unicorn-related’ item.

It’s very rare and very special.

To get ready for DeathSpank’s release on the PlayStation Network tomorrow, and then on Xbox LIVE Arcade on Wednesday, check out some of the magical (and not so magical) items you’ll be able to find in the game with the ‘Epic Weapons’ trailer below:
