Calling Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 a flight simulator would be a lie. Yes, it has realistically recreated aircraft that the player steers through the air above accurately modeled landscapes. Yes, you get to enter into air-to-air combat and air-to-ground combat. But this is no simulator. No rogue terrorist cell would use this game for their devious flight training. Rather than slapping the simulator title on it, I would brand this game as an action shooter with wings.
The game starts off with a few training missions that rapidly turn into a real attack on your base. You get shot down, but in a real Call of Duty moment you hop into the seat of another pilot to go rescue yourself. Or the other guy you just played a second ago. But it’s not you anymore. Something to that effect. The characters and the story itself are so irrelevant that I cannot actually remember what happens after that. Something about insurgents with lots and lots of military hardware.

Ubisoft has today announced that a singleplayer demo for Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2 will soon become available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in an effort to give gamers a taste of what to expect when the action flight simulator releases in September.
A brand new clutch of screenshots has recently dropped for Ubisoft’s next action flight simulator, Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2, revealing some awfully nice looking planes and picturesque scenery.
Not only that, but the game’s official September release date has been revealed for Europe and the UK, with unconfirmed reports saying that HAWX 2 will release a few days later ‘across the pond’ in the US.

Ubisoft has released a few more interesting details and screenshots for its upcoming flight action game, H.A.W.X. 2.
Players will become elite aerial soldiers, commanding “cutting-edge technology and overwhelming firepower delivered by tomorrow’s finest combat aircraft,” on aerial warfare missions in HA.W.X 2. This will include experimental technology ranging from the vectored thrust capability of the F-35 to the Enhanced Reality System.
