The massive, insanely hectic period of massive videogame releases starts wrapping up this week with another deluge of exciting titles, with opportunities to roam through Constantinople open-world style, race across the US in a deadly contest, revisit a classic adventure, jump and bop through a magical 3D land and paint the town red with a bunch of ‘saints.’

Announced earlier this year and due for release on November 15th around the world, Halo: Anniversary is your chance to jump into the Halo series to see the events that kicked off a billion dollar franchise, only this time the action of Halo: Combat Evolved is presented in luscious high definition and remastered glory using the Halo: Reach engine.
Over the week of June 6th, Microsoft fired the opening salvo of videogame news to kick off E3 2011, and it was quite explosive!
The company focussed heavily on its upcoming offering of Xbox 360 Kinect titles, revealing details on motion games catering to all types of Xbox owners, from the hardest of the hardcore to more family friendly fun.
Details on upcoming highly anticipated games that make use of Kinect were also revealed, while the welcome announcement of Kinect Fun Labs was made to further diversify the range of entertainment opportunities now available on Xbox 360.

The much-talked-about high definition remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved was recently removed from the category of ‘rumour’ and placed squarely in the ‘fact’ bucket, as Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was formally announced at Microsoft’s E3 2011 press event.
According to reports circulating the ‘net today, Microsoft is all set and ready to announce new entries to a host of its most popular Xbox-exclusive franchises today at its E3 2011 press conference, including the next Halo, Dance Central and Kinect Sports games.
