Many years ago, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson thought it would be a good idea to work on a game based on the movie he was currently working on, King Kong.
He didn’t know where to start, though, but he had been playing the classic adventure game from Ubisoft, Beyond Good and Evil, and decided to seek out the genius who lead that team to bring the Kong game to life.
That genius turned out to be Rayman creator Michel Ancel, who gladly accepted the challenge of working on the Kong game, ably bringing the world and characters to life, resulting in a good experience.
This whole event has marked Peter Jackson as a bit of a gamer, so it’s should be no surprise that, over and above playing a game of Halo now and again, he really enjoys playing Call of Duty: World at War with his son, in particular the zombie-themed modes of the game.
During Comic-Con over the past week, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson commented on the status of his much-rumoured Halo game project, a collaboration between Bungie, Microsoft and Jackson himself, entitled Halo Chronicles.
Jackson said the project was dead.
Now, however, Microsoft have issued an official statement regarding the project, reigniting the possibility that the game (and possibly even the Halo movie) will still see the light of day. The statement reads:
- The Arrival of Azmodan: A Desperate Plea to the Armies of Light
- Why is War fighting against Death in this Darksiders II screenshot?
- Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Review
- Exclusive: Halo Infinity Multiplayer revealed for Halo 4, innovative online modes detailed
- Exclusive: Halo 4 Limited Edition announced with South African pricing and pre-order details
