Sony has released a new trailer for Gran Turismo 5, this one showcasing the new Night Racing feature that the game will include.
A new trailer for Gran Turismo 5 has surfaced on Sony’s European PlayStation Blog, offering gamers a glimpse of one of the new features included in the game for the first time, the NASCAR experience.
Enjoy the NASCAR racing in the trailer below and see what GT Creator Kazunori Yamauchi has to say about this new feature. A release date for GT5 has yet to be announced.
Announced recently on the US PlayStation Blog, a producer at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), Taku Imasaki, announced the addition of three new cars to the game, as well as gameplay and performance enhancements.
The first car, the GT by Citroen concept car is the result of a collaboration between Citroen (the French automaker) and Polyphony Digital (the creators of Gran Turismo). Apparently, the formal debut of the car took place at the Paris Motor Show recently to coincide with the release of the update. The two other cars are the Ferrari California and the Lotus Evora, which Imasaki assures us are “a lot of fun to drive”. The GT by Citroen will go for 1 000 000 credits in the game, the Ferrari will cost 300 000 credits and the Lotus will set you back 100 000 in-game credits.

Sony popped a reminder on to SCEA’s PlayStation blog that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be available on the US PlayStation Store today.
The game will be available for download on the revamped PlayStation Store for $39.99 and features 70 cars, drift mode, interior dash view and online racing with up to 16 players. Or you could grab it on a Blu-ray disc for the same price if you prefer. The Blu-ray version includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes HD video feature titled ‘Beyond the Apex’ which takes a look at the history of the franchise.
