Last year 505 Games published Grease: The Game on Wii and DS. The game featured songs and dance routines from the 1978 musical, as well as a variety of entertaining multiplayer modes.
The Wii version was developed by British-based studio Zoë Mode, whose previous work includes the SingStar and EyeToy: Play franchises. Today 505 Games announced that the developer will be bringing Grease to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with Kinect and PS Move integration respectively.
For close on two decades now, members of the male population have been left puzzling over their female counterparts fascination with the music from the popular high school musical Grease. And while just the mention of the word Grease has no doubt just caused the words of ‘Greased Lightning’ and ‘You’re the One that I Want’ to come flooding back into your mind, publisher 505 Games has decided to capitalize on the success of this iconic 50s’ themed film by teaming up with Paramount Digital Entertainment to bring Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsen to the videogame arena for the first time.
Having snagged the global publishing rights, 505 Games will be bringing Grease the videogame to the Nintendo DS and Wii. The Grease videogame will allow players to sing and dance in the shoes once filled by John Travolta and Oliver Newton John in the iconic film that was released in 1978.
