It’s just been announced that the latest entry to the Need For Speed series, Undercover, has gone gold, which is cutting it a bit close for its release date later this month…
Need For Speed: Undercover follows in the grand tradition of previous NFS titles, with adrenaline-pumping car chases, vehicle customisation and the excellently cheesy live-action cut-scenes, featuring up-and-coming and/or current Hollywood talent. This edition returns to the streets, as well as the shady world of underground racing.
Watch the battle trailer below to get a dose of all of the above.
Need for Speed: Undercover has a release date of November 18th in the US and November 21st in the UK and Europe.
EA have announced that their upcoming horror action game, Dead Space, is now officially done and dusted and will be working its way to a store near Europeans on the 24th of October on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, while stores across North America will contain less PS3 and Xbox 360 shelf space on the 14th of October. Dead Space releases in North America on PC October 20th.
If you’re into games that mess with your mind while traversing a shelled out super-spaceship and battling extremely persistent monsters, then the box art to your right is what you should be looking for come release day, with the hand and the blood and the emptiness of space. Definitely alludes to the content. You can read some more about Dead Space, as well as catch an extremely creepy trailer, over here.
Development on Atari’s action survival horror game Alone in the Dark is complete. The game is scheduled to ship on the 20th of June in Europe and the 24th of June in North America for the Xbox 360, Wii and PS2. The PS3 version of the game is expected to hit shelves in autumn 2008.
The Xbox 360 version was developed by Eden Games while Hydravision were in charge of the Wii and PS2 versions. The Wii version has been developed to make use of the Wii Remote in various game play situations from driving to real-time manipulation of objects. The game features on-character inventory, health recovery system and DVD-style chapter select menu.
Xbox 360 and Wii Limited Editions of the game, including a hero figurine, art book and making of documentary DVD, will also be available at launch from selected European retailers.
“With its genre-busting mix of gameplay, wide-screen presentation style and DVD chapter select feature putting the player in control, Alone in the Dark will thrill all gamers,” said Phil Harrison, President of Infogrames Entertainment.
“It’s a game which will challenge the player but also reward them with a one-of-a-kind video game experience and a huge amount of fun.”
Capcom’s Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition has gone gold. Lost Planet Colonies Edition will be available for the Xbox 360 and PC. It is expected to ship on the 27th of May and will sport a price tag of $29.99.
