If Ghost Recon: Future Soldier wasn’t on your radar before, then this crushing story trailer for Ubisoft’s squad-based shooter will slam the game into your sights permanently!
Watch below as phantom soldiers use advanced gadgets to gain the upper-hand in a pulse-pounding video:
With Ubisoft’s upcoming tactical squad-based shooter, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, now only hitting our shelves in May, we’re going to need every bit of information we can gather to help us last the extra wait.
At this point, it might just be better for Ubisoft to say the game is “done when it’s done.”
After suffering numerous delays out of 2010 and into 2011, and then being forced back into 2012, Ubisoft has recently announced another delay for its tactical squad-based shooter, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
Following a recent retailer release date listing for Ubisoft’s upcoming tactical shooter, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, the publisher has confirmed that we can expect to see the game on store shelves in early March 2012… in the US, at least.
El33tonline has been revealing tons of reasons to get yourself to this year’s rAge expo in Johannesburg next week, with loads of prizes, competitions and giveaways happening at our very own Stand 28 on the showfloor of the Coca-Cola Dome.
South African videogame distributor Megarom has just announced a few different reasons to attend the show, too, and will be bringing a massive collection of unreleased games to rage 2011.
Not content to let THQ, Microsoft and Sony steal the show at E3 2011 over the week of June 6th, Ubisoft came out swinging with some very strong announcements and impressive demonstrations of the publisher’s upcoming games.
These announcements included the reveal of new Far Cry and Brothers in Arms games, plus further looks at titles such as Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Rayman Origins and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
Ubisoft’s futuristic squad-based shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has seen a number of unfortunate delays, and was originally meant to release at the end of 2010. According to reports at the time, the game was looking extremely rough and in no way a contender for any sort of action shooter crown – a title that Ubisoft was specifically aiming for.
It’s a good thing Future Soldier has seen so many delays because the game is now looking in tip-top shape, and is scheduled for release in March of 2012.
Head on down below to dance in a bombardment of screenshots, gameplay trailers and Kinect demonstration videos, all of which showcase how mighty Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has become:
During a recent investor call, Ubisoft announced that both Driver: San Francisco and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier have been delayed from their previously held release windows of the first quarter of 2011, into fiscal 2012.
As a result, neither game will see a release before March 2011, and may even be pushed back into the end of year holiday season.
Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was recently delayed until 2011, but by the looks of the latest released batch of screenshots, and a few healthy bouts of in-game footage, there’s reason to believe that the extended wait for the tactical combat game will be worth every minute.
Give that index finger a workout, and continue on down below to see the rest of the extraordinary screenshots and gameplay footage from Ghost Recon: Future Soldier:
During Ubisoft’s conference call announcing its full year financial results, the publisher revealed that the upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will only see a release during the first quarter of next year, between January and March 2011.
Ubisoft has released a batch of new screenshots for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
In addition to lots of action, big guns and baddies the screenshots also showcase the optical camouflage which the publisher detailed earlier in the week.
Ubisoft has revealed a few more details about the next entry in the Ghost Recon franchise. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is currently in development at the publisher’s Paris Studio (who also handled development duties for Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and Advanced Warfighter 2) and is on track to hit shelves for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this spring.
Gamers can gain access to a multiplayer beta for the game, invitations for which will be included with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction when it becomes available for the Xbox 360 on the 16th of April.
Edit Whoops, looks like I got my signals crossed - I’ve now added the new live action trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (which is awesome), in addition to the older teaser trailer… the future still scares me though… End
Do you enjoy your daily doses of media shown on dozens of different panels, all panning, zooming and weaving around uncontrollably before your eyes as you try absorb every pixel at an impossible rate? You don’t?
Well, that’s unfortunate, because if this new live action trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is to be believed, this is how we consume media in the future… and it scares me.
What’s a little more frightening is how the Ghost operatives at the end of the trailer phase into existence like some kind of phantom Nazgûl from Lord of the Rings. Now that’s terrifying.
If this is the future, I don’t want any part of it.
Watch the live action trailer and the teaser trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier below:
