The PS Vita’s launch line-up included four racing titles – Ridge Racer, ModNation Racers, MotorStorm RC and Asphalt: Injection. Who would have thought back in 2009, when Gameloft made their RPG debut onto the mobile gaming scene with the iPhone game, Dungeon Hunter; that we’d one day get to mash it out on the PlayStation Network in 2011. Despite being a port from phone to PlayStation, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance serves up hours of solid isometric monster-bashing, crypt raiding fun whether questing solo or uniting with your friends.
Don’t expect originality - the adventure is about as generic as they come but Gameloft does a damn good job of distracting you from all that by offering up some solid zombie-burning, tomb looting adventure.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D is a port of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to the 3DS. Unfortunately it’s a downgrade in every way except the 3D feature, so it’s very hard to recommend unless you’re desperate for a portable Splinter Cell or you don’t own a console that can play the original game. It’s still enjoyable, but you’re better off playing the original on console.

Ubisoft has announced an agreement with Gameloft to acquire its video game development studio in Pune, India.
Ubisoft recently acquired a studio in Singapore and hope the acquisition of the Pune studio will reinforce its presence in Asia. A satellite city of Mumbai, Pune is described by Ubisoft as being “part of the 2nd generation of India’s techno-poles, and is considered one of the most pleasant cities to live in the country.”
The studio was established towards the end of 2006 and currently houses a team of 120 developers and testers. This team will “initially focus on porting titles to handheld consoles and reinforcing Ubisoft’s testing teams.” Ubisoft aim to have 200 developers within the next year and to reach 500 in the coming years.
“Following on the recent announcement of our new Singapore studio, this acquisition will reinforce Ubisoft’s presence in Asia and the southeast region in particular. India has a promising future in the videogame industry and this is an opportunity for us to establish ourselves in the country,” stated Christine Burgess-Quémard, executive director, worldwide studios at Ubisoft.
