After announcing the nominees for this year’s Game Critics Awards ‘Best of E3’ winners, the organisation has revealed the full line-up of games that have received top nods, and according to the panel of 35 judges Bioshock Infinite is the game to look out for in 2012, while 2K Games might just have the most exciting games next year.

With E3 2011 done and dusted, and dozens of new and exciting upcoming games revealed, it’s now up to the Game Critics Awards to determine which of these games were ‘officially’ the best of the show, and according to the 35 participating North American media outlets that make up the judging panel, Bioshock Infinite and Uncharted 3 are firm favourites for top honours.
The nominations for the Game Critic Awards’ “Best of E3 2011” are as follows:
After the Game Critics Awards nominated its top picks for best showings during E3 2010 in categories including ‘Best of Show,’ ‘Best Console Game’ and ‘Best Hardware,’ the organisation has today announced its award winners in each category.
id Software’s first-person shooter, RAGE, walks away with three awards, Portal 2 gets two, Dance Central also receives two nods, while Nintendo’s 3DS is awarded two final placings as well.
This means that Disney Epic Mickey, despite being nominated for four awards, gets nothing.

The judges contributing their thoughts to the Game Critics Awards have announced the nominees for this year’s ‘Best of E3 2010’ awards, revealing what games and technologies present at the show they felt were the most impressive.
Awards are split up into categories such as ‘Best of Show,’ ‘Best Console Game,’ ‘Best Hardware’ and more, and while a few titles are notably absent from the list (Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2, to name two), heavy hitters such as RAGE, Disney Epic Mickey and Portal 2 were all nominated in a number of categories.
The winners in each category of the E3 2010 Game Critics Awards… awards will be announced on July 6th, but until then you can browse through the full list of nominations below, as well as see a breakdown of the lists:
The winners of the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2009 have been announced, with Uncharted 2 making a clean sweep with three awards, and the wonderful DS game, Scribblenauts, winning two awards.
Notably, Brütal Legend, which was nominated for four awards, came away with nothing, which is a shame.
The publishers also won big, as Microsoft and Sony both won three awards, while Activision and Warner Bros. both came away with two awards apiece.

The Game Critics Awards, an “independent group of 29 leading North American media outlets that cover the videogame industry” has revealed this year’s nominees for their annual ‘Best of E3’ awards, which “recognize the games that will shape the future of interactive entertainment, as demonstrated via hands-on playable form at the E3 Expo.”
Leading the pack of nominees this year are Double Fine’s Brütal Legend, as well as Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which have four nominations apiece, including ‘Best of Show’ and ‘Best Console Game.’
The big publishers also each received a considerable amount of nominations for their range of games on show at E3, with EA getting eighteen nominations, Sony thirteen, Activision ten, and Nintendo and Microsoft each receiving five nominations.
