The Major has revealed that two highly anticipated Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA) games are now up on the service and available for your consumption now, but what are they?

The first is Flock!, available for 1200 MS Points, sees asks players to “herd cute, cuddly animals through over 50 sandbox puzzles with the help of your UFO tractor beam! Flock together with a friend, and even create and share your own crazy levels online with the built-in level editor!”

Puzzle Quest Galactrix, however, the second game available on XBLA today for 1600 MS Points, allows you to “explore the entire Galactrix universe in the exciting return of the Puzzle Quest franchise with its signature addictive RPG/Puzzle hybrid gameplay.”

While they both sound a little bit pricey, they’re sure to be entertaining, so you can always check out the demo before you commit any of your hard earned Space Bucks.

 

Flock! PlaysetCapcom has announced that the Flock! playset will be available on the Capcom Store this week.

Get ready Flock! fans because according to the publisher this playset will be on sale in very limited numbers this Thursday, the 9th of April from 3pm PST.

The playset is made from a high-quality soft plastic and comes in a collectible box. The set includes the mothership, detachable Flock! herding saucer (plus stand) and pairs of Flock!-style sheep, chickens, pigs and chicks.

Flock! will be available on the PC and Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow and it will arrive on the PlayStation Store on Thursday.

Xbox Live fans are in for a treat this week as two games arrive tomorrow as part of the Xbox Live Days of Arcade promotion. Puzzle Quest: Galactrix will be available for 1600 points while Flock! will cost 1200 points.

Flock! sees players piloting a UFO and herding livestock into the Motherflocker. The game features over 50 pastoral puzzles where players must pick up wood to form bridges, move boulders to create obstructions and flatten fields to create pathways to help herd the animals before time runs out. You can flock together thanks to the two player local co-op mode and the level editor means you can even create and share your own levels online.

As you know Capcom’s puzzle platformer Flock! will be available for PS3 gamers to download on the PlayStation Network on the 9th of April.

Flock! sees players manipulating a variety of farm animals (including pigs, sheep, cows and chickens) with the help of a UFO through puzzle-filled environments into a mothership, otherwise affectionately known as the ‘Mother Flocker.’

Capcom have posted a video interview with Director of Design Kraig Kujawa which reveals some of the secrets behind Flock! (including why the team chose to combine alien abduction and farm animals) and which also shows some really exciting gameplay.

Flock! sees players taking control of a UFO, trying to herd a variety of animals, including pigs, sheep, cows and chickens, to its mothership through various puzzle-filled environments such as corn fields and pastures.

An extra layer of difficulty is presented in the way each animal reacts to the UFO, tasking players with trying to take advantage of their eccentric behaviour. Players are rewarded for beating a given level in the time provided or by trying to find bonuses.

Flock! also features a co-operative mode and a level editor, allowing players to create their own levels with the level-editor, so you can continue using the Tractor Beam to move obstacles and the Depressor Beam to stamp crop circles, even after you finish the game.
