Fight Night Round 4 is looking more and more impressive with each viewing, and this latest trailer for the game is no less impressive.

Revealing a variety of fighters from the game (naturally sweating like no-one’s business to show off the in-game tech), the trailer asks you, the player, what’s your style… and then proceeds to show you a few different fighting styles that you can take advantage of during a fight to beat your opponent.

The release date for the next entry to the boxing simulation game, Fight Night, was recently revealed, with a new batch of screenshots following up the announcement.

Fight Night Round 4 is looking superb, and superbly realistic, as the physics demo below reveals how the dramatic lighting, added sweat particles and sheen, as well as what can only be described as ‘skin flap physics’ all add up to an excellently real looking experience, as the game’s producer, Brian Hayes says:

“[In Fight Night Round 3], you often found that the gameplay degraded into two guys standing in front of each other and trading blows. You saw a very scripted, very repetitive experience where people stood in front of each other.

“What we’re really trying to deliver is the most realistic simulation of the sport of boxing ever in a video game… in Fight Night Round 4, you see a much more fluid, natural game.”

Fight Night Round 4 is set to ship on June 30th on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check out the rest of the screenshots, as well as that realistic physics demo, below:

EA has unveiled that EA Sports Fight Night Round 4 is in development at EA Canada. The game will be available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2009.

The game is touted to feature “the most realistic in the ring experience to date” and well as “some of the greatest boxers in history fighting in their prime” including Mike Tyson in the first boxing video game in nearly a decade.

EA Sports Fight Night Round 4 will feature a re-written game play engine that “recreates the full spectrum of true-to-life punch impacts, giving boxers a devastating arsenal of punches, blocks and ring movement.”

The new physics system ensures that no fight will be the same, at the same time allowing missed punches, glancing punches, knockout blows as well as the first time ever rough and tumble inside fighting. The game will take into account fatigue, adrenaline, footwork as well as timing. It will feature various fighting styles and boxer differentiation to emulate different fighters including Mike Tyson and Muhammed Ali.

“The EA SPORTS Fight Night franchise has always been synonymous with quality and innovation that raised the bar for the sports videogame genre”, said Kevin Wilkinson, Executive Producer, EA SPORTS.

“EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 3 was a platform defining game as the industry transitioned to next generation consoles. EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 4 will change how boxing games are played and measured in the future.”
