Well my experience reviewing Fallout: New Vegas has been quite astounding, and in that I mean it was unfortunately not as enjoyable to play as I had hoped. Taking into consideration that I am a fan of the Fallout series, having played all iterations since the original Fallout released in 1997 nevermind two entire play-through’s of Fallout 3, I had high expectations thus I was very excited to get my hands on New Vegas. Essentially it’s a repackaging of the same game engine that powered Fallout 3, add to that the stellar job that Bethesda Softworks did with Fallout 3 in addition to the company’s high production values and story-telling abilities; the game should have been flawless as the engine is already 2 years mature. Alas, it’s the lack of refinement that Fallout: New Vegas shows throughout the game which in my opinion has marred its potential of being one of the greater games of 2010. Its flaws present themselves to you before its victories, its roughness rearing its ugly head before proving remarkable.
