A BBFC listing has revealed what content will be included on the Gears of War 2 bonus disc.

To prevent spoilers, head over to the BBFC website to check out the content yourself. Gears of War 2 was given an 18 age rating, and this with no cuts being made to any content on the disc.

Gears of War 2 will be released exclusively on the Xbox 360 on the 7th of November.

Microsoft has revealed the Gears of War 2 Collector’s Edition. Let’s take a closer look at the bonus materials included in the Collector’s Edition.

It will include a book including character profiles, concept art and foreword by Cliff Bleszinski (titled “Beneath the Surface: An Inside Look at Gears of War 2”) and a bonus DVD with making of the game video footage, designer galleries and promotional videos. You will also get a Dominic and Mario Keepsake Photo as well as an exclusive Xbox Live code to unlock a gold-plated Lancer Assault Rifle for online play.

The Collector’s Edition will be packaged in a steelbook DVD case and will be available from selected retailers in the UK for £49.99.

Gears of War 2 will be available exclusively for the Xbox 360 on the 7th of November.

Len Wiseman will be directing New Line’s film adaptation of Microsoft and Epic Games’ video game Gears of War.

This according to Variety, who also report that Chris Morgan (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Wanted) will be taking over the screenplay writing responsibilities from Stuart Beattie. Gears Lead Designer Cliff Bleszinski will act as executive producer and creative consultant.

Rumours that Wiseman would be heading up the project began after Gears of War was featured in his recent film Live Free or Die Hard. Wiseman will rework the story with Morgan, with whom he is collaborating on sci-fi action thriller Shell Game.

Wiseman is best known for co-writing and directing the first two Underworld films and is currently producing the third installment in the Underworld franchise, Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans. Incidentally Wiseman is married to Kate Beckinsdale who starred in the first two Underworld films.

The Gears of War film was initially expected to arrive in cinemas in summer 2009 although further development on the project is likely to delay that date. Gears of War 2 will be available for the Xbox 360 in November.

“It’s like with our games, you can have it right or have it right now,” said Epic Games head Mark Rein. “We want to get it right. There’s no timetable for us. We just want to make as good a movie as we can, and we think (Wiseman’s) the guy who will do it.”

Midway and Epic Games have announced that the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3 will be available across Europe on the 4th of July and North America on the 7th of July.

UT3 will include new features including split screen, five exclusive maps and two new characters as well as all previously released downloadable content.

It will also feature an exclusive multiplayer video preview of Gears of War 2. Narrated by design director Cliff Bleszinski and producer Rod Fergusson, the video will include never-before-seen footage of Gears of War 2 multiplayer modes and will feature new maps, modes, weapons and game play.

“We’re very excited to be shipping Unreal Tournament 3 for Xbox 360,” said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, Inc. “This is a great title and, with two-player split screen support and some very cool new content, Xbox 360 players should be thrilled with this fantastic version of the game.”

UT3 is currently available for the PS3 and PC.

Gears of War fans will be happy to hear that Epic Games’ popular third person shooter will be discounted in the US and Canada from today.

According to Gamerscoreblog.com, the Xbox 360 version will drop to $39.99 while the Games for Window version will drop to $29.99.

A special two disc version of the Xbox 360 version of Gears of War will be available on the 24th of June for the same $39.99 price. Disc One will contain the Gears of War game disc while Disc Two will contain Gears of War Map Packs 1 & 2, Emergence Day and Bare your Teeth theme, Emergence Day, Crimson Omen and Gears of War Gamer Pics as well as trailers for Duel and Assault.

The two disc special edition contains “Annex mode and the ability to earn an extra 250 gamerscore (for a total of 1250) from a previous title update.” However, “the 360 version will not contain the PC-exclusive Timgad level, so no console Brumak battles.”

Gears of War 2 is expected to arrive on the Xbox 360 this November. The game is shaping up nicely by the look of the latest screenshots.

The first game play footage from Gears of War 2 is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace.

Featuring a personal introduction to the game by Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski, the trailer promises a look at the “bigger, better and more badass game play in Gears of War 2.” The video takes a first look at in-game chainsaw duels, large scale fights with the Locust Hordes as well as the new visuals.

Gears of War 2 will be available exclusively on the Xbox 360 this November.

Unreal Tournament 3 will be released for the Xbox 360 this summer. This is the latest word from Midway and Epic Games, who also announced that the game has shipped over one million units worldwide for the PS3 and PC.

The Xbox 360 version will feature two new characters, five new expansive maps as well as split screen capability.

“We’re very excited to be bringing Unreal Tournament 3 to Xbox 360,” said Mark Rein, vice president, Epic Games. “Whether playing against our fantastic AI ‘bots’ or playing online with friends over Xbox LIVE, UT3 is a great fast-paced game with spectacular environments, weaponry and vehicles. DC Comics and Epic Games are partnering to publish a Gears of War comic book. Set to debut in October, the Gears of War comic book will be published under DC’s WildStorm imprint. It is scheduled to hit shelves just ahead of the launch of Gears of War 2 for the Xbox 360 in November.

The first story arc of the comic book series will fill in the storyline gap between the original Gears of War and the upcoming sequel. Stay tuned because more details about the series, including the creative team behind the comic, were promised at a later date.

Earlier in the week DC Comics also announced a comic book based on Sierra’s upcoming game Prototype.
