Those of you with US Xbox LIVE accounts but without Gold membership will be pleased to know that you can now download the Gears of War 3 demo from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Epic Games has lifted the lid on the next Gears of War 3 map pack, ‘Fenix Rising,’ with a collection of awesome screenshots and a handful of horrific character renders showcasing some new multiplayer skins.
Warning: If you haven’t got the new Raam’s Shadow campaign for Gears of War 3 yet, watching this trailer will guarantee that you get it tonight.
When I sat down to play the very first story add-on content for Gears of War 3, RAAM’s Shadow, I didn’t intend finishing it straight away. I was in need of some shut eye after a tumultuous week and the last thing I needed to do was steal sleep away from my schedule. “I’ll just have a quick look and carry on in the morning,” I told myself.
Three hours later, and at 02:30 in the morning, I had completed RAAM’s Shadow. Epic Games had set up another mischievous, inescapable trap and I had fallen for it. Again.

Epic Games recently went and unveiled the next title it’s currently working on, Fortnite, and true to the word of the Gears of War studio, it won’t include ‘space marines’ and is indeed ‘very different’ to the developer’s previous games… although it does include what appear to be cartoon-like zombies in what we’re led to believe is an action-packed ‘defence’ type of game.

The promised Gears of War 3 ‘Versus Booster Map Pack’ has just become available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and once downloaded, will add five multiplayer maps to your game.
And oh yes: This map pack is completely free, everybody.
A brand new patch recently went live for Gears of War 3, with Title Update 2 bringing a host of improvements, as well as exploit and general fixes to the multiplayer side of game.
It’s just been officially announced that Gears of War 3 players will be able to indulge in a bit of free downloadable content later this month with the ‘Versus Booster Map Pack.’
Blame ‘technical difficulties’ or anything else you please, but any way you cut it Gears of War 3 owners won’t be getting around to playing the game’s new content, the Horde Command Pack, as soon as originally planned.
A new set of downloadable content (DLC) has just been announced for Gears of War 3 that will feature an entirely new campaign experience for the game, which takes place prior to the events of the original Gears of War.
Microsoft and Epic Games have today announced the very first set of downloadable content (DLC) for the pair’s just-released Gears of War 3, with details of the pack’s content arriving in tow.
Called the Horde Command Pack, this Gears of War 3 game add-on will become available on November 1st, but the really exciting part is how much pure stuff is going to be included. The newly released screenshots are nice, too.
Even though gamers the world over are only just now indulging in the crushing action and emotive story in Gears of War 3 following the game’s global release yesterday, Epic Games creative director Cliff Bleszinski has already confirmed that at least one of the announced downloadable content packs for the title will include an extra slice of story to add to the already immense campaign.
Gears of War 3 launches around the world next week, on September 20th, exclusively on Xbox 360. This much we already know.
But there may be a few things about the history of the franchise that you didn’t know…
If you were under the impression that the launch of a new Gears of War game is in any way less of an event than the release of anything else you might care to mention, then get ready for some knowledge.
