One of the key features of Sony’s upcoming PS Vita is the handheld’s focus on social networking and gaming with friends using ‘Near.’
At the press of a button, you can find other PS Vita owners around you and not only invite them into multiplayer games, but compare your progress, set challenges and drop virtual gifts for them, too, all while chatting to other players and commenting on their activities. Our Question of the Day to you, however, is:

We are entering into our fourth month of running Gears of War Wednesday now and we’re still welcoming new p33ps each week.
Although there were a few regulars missing last night we were lucky enough to be able to welcome back some old skool p33ps, including the October brothers who marked their return to battle with a (few) hearty musical numbers.

It’s unfortunate, but AR or Augmented Reality games are still something of a novelty.
While games like EyePet, Kinect titles like Raving Rabbids and Nintendo’s 3DS have demonstrated how it’s possible to bring the virtual world into real-life (or vice versa), not every game is able to make use of this exciting avenue for videogames mainly because players aren’t always guaranteed to have a camera on all platforms.
With the PS Vita, however, AR games and gaming has a fresh new chance at becoming prolific, so this Question of the Day asks:

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was recently released around the world on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, signalling the return of an RPG series that was once considered the most cherished of videogames!

Last week we tried a new feature called ‘Guess the Game’ where you, our wise and well gamed readers, are presented with two screenshots.
The first screenshot is of a classic game that really tests your knowledge of gaming from times past. The second is a cropping of a more recent news article on El33tonline, to test just how much attention you are paying when trawling around the site for your gaming fix.
It’s funny how we get one day closer to the launch of Sony’s PS Vita with every day that passes, but regardless of the complex science and maths involved in that particular equation, it’s plain to see our excitement for the release of the gaming handheld on February 22nd!
In past Questions of the Day, we’ve gauged your excitement levels for the device, asked about which games you’re most excited for and which features you think are the most useful, but today we’re asking:

What is your favourite PS Vita Feature?
It is no secret that I quite adore The Sims. Yes, I groan every time a new expansion is released, but I have to keep up the appearance of a serious games reviewer. And The Sims just does not bode well for a gamer of my caliber.
But the problem with that is the fact that The Sims are simply too addictive to overlook. And if you look at the sales figures for The Sims I can take comfort in knowing I am most certainly not alone in this!

3DS games are not much cheaper than their console counterparts yet most of the time they feature far less content and replay value. Resident Evil: Revelations is one of the first games specifically designed for a handheld which offers a console-like experience in terms of graphical fidelity, production values and wealth of content on offer. It’s easy to get sucked into Revelations thanks to its atmospheric environments and compelling gameplay and at the height of your immersion you completely forget that you’re playing a portable title.
