Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Missing Link DLC Banner Logo

The teased bit of downloadable content for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has received a few extra details today with screenshots, a quick-fire trailer and a confirmed release month (October).

There’s also a description of the story events included in the DLC, but it could be a bit spoilery, so if you’re currently playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution, or you intend playing it (read Oltman’s review over here if you don’t), rather skip over the text and watch the trailer (which doesn’t contain spoilers as far as we’re aware…).

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have just announced that the publisher and developer’s upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution has gone gold ahead of its worldwide August release, which means that the first-person action adventure game is finished and ready for mass production!

General manager of Eidos-Montreal, Stephane D’Astous enthused:

In a recently released statement, Square Enix has confirmed that the publisher’s Eidosmontreal.com website, as well as two of the company’s product sites, have been infiltrated by “a group of hackers.”

While no credit card information or code data isn’t kept on these sites, it is possible, says Square Enix, that 350 submitted resumes and 25 000 email addresses may have been accessed during the breach.

It’s no secret that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of El33tonline’s most anticipated showings at next week’s E3 expo. We’re expecting a lot from this game, but given the recent release of their jaw-dropping CG trailer we don’t think we’ll be disappointed, especially given the fact that Square Enix has decked the Los Angeles Convention Center out with two huge advertisements for the title, one a poster and the other a video.

Eidos Montreal has dropped a teaser trailer for the studio’s upcoming Deus Ex 3, revealing that we as mere humans are but a steppingstone towards the next stage of evolution, and that in the next entry to the venerable first-person RPG franchise, we’ll once again gain access to all kinds of organic implants and improvements to make ourselves… better… stronger… faster.

A new piece of information coming out of GDC this year is that Deus Ex won’t feature multiplayer of any kind, as the game’s director Jean-Francois Dugas says:
