Over the last few weeks, El33tonline has been running no less than five, I-said-five competitions to give you a chance of winning some of the latest and greatest videogames to grace the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3!

Debut title and massive RPG Fallout: New Vegas managed to become the top-selling game in the UK this past week, claiming No. 1 on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing after only two days on sale.
Fallout: New Vegas was able to effortlessly outclass the launch week performance of Bethesda Softworks’ previous Fallout title, Fallout 3 in 2008, as New Vegas racked up 29% more unit sales across its three platforms (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC).
EA’s mixed martial arts fighting game for Xbox 360 and PS3, EA Sports MMA, releases today in North America, and a little later this week in Europe, the UK and South Africa, and naturally with the launch of any massive title on the release schedule, a launch trailer and media explosion must herald its appearance on store shelves.
El33tonline got some private hands-on time with EA Sports MMA during gamescom, and you can read our thorough preview to see what you’ll be getting yourself into if you decide to pick the game up.

El33tonline was fortunate enough to attend gamescom 2010 in Cologne, Germany last month. We got to spend some amazing hands-on time with a vast number of awesome games and chat to their developers. Certainly the highlight was meeting some of the industry’s icons.
All in all it was an amazing experience that enabled us to share a wealth of information with you, our readers. We hope to be back next year to continue bringing unique quality content to the South African gaming community.

Major Nelson has just let out word that a demo for EA’s highly anticipated EA Sports MMA fighting game has just arrived on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, giving prospective players a chance to sample EA’s take on virtual mixed martial arts matches.
My hands-on presentation with EA Sports MMA at gamescom 2010 was pretty unusual, and very peculiar when measured up against all of the other demos El33tonline attended.
First of all, there was no line for the demo. Second, the door to the presentation room was wide open, with two EA developers sitting inside furiously pressing buttons and twiddling analogue sticks on controllers. I noticed the two were virtually beating each other to a pulp in the game I was there to see, EA Sports MMA, and having a jolly good time doing it, but this wasn’t part of the demo.
The second I stepped inside the room, they looked up, welcomed me in, and finished up the match, at which time one of the developers bolted upright and dashed out the door as though hurrying to a demo of his own - he was only there to catch a few rounds of MMA before getting back to work!
EA has announced that a demo for its upcoming mixed martial arts game, EA Sports MMA, will be available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on the 28th of September.
The demo will allow gamers to “jump right into a match via Fight Now to experience the intensity of MMA in two weight classes: heavyweight and middleweight.” You’ll be able to fight as Alistair Overeem, the current STRIKEFORCE heavyweight champion, or Bobby Lashley, who just so happens to be a former professional wrestler.
EA has announced that its upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) game, EA Sports MMA, will feature the inclusion of a singleplayer Career Mode that will give players the opportunity to train “around the globe with top MMA trainers like Randy Couture, Pat Miletich, Rickson Gracie and Bas Rutten.”
Not only that, but you’ll be able to visit gyms in “Japan, Brazil, Thailand and the United States to learn new skills and techniques.”
Yesterday EA revealed that EA Sports MMA would be releasing in mid-October this year for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The publisher also released a slew of new screenshots for the game and a new bone-crunching trailer.

In amongst a list of the game’s advanced features that EA hopes will be enough to fend off its competitor, a release date for EA Sports MMA has been revealed, and will be launching in mid-October this year on a PS3 and Xbox 360 near you.
EA has revealed its line-up for next week’s E3 expo, and we’re sure you will agree that it’s going to be a real cracker! There will be racers, there will be shooters, there will be sports game and there will even be Sims games!
The publisher’s media briefing will be held on Monday at 2PM PDT and if you tune in you’ll be able to see news and demonstrations for Medal of Honor, Need for Speed, Dead Space 2, EA Sports Active 2 and The Sims 3 for console as well as EA Sports MMA and titles from EA Partners, Crytek and Epic.
In the wake of EA’s released financial results, the publisher has revealed its intended release slate for the four quarters making up fiscal year 2011 (beginning April 1st 2010 and ending March 31st 2011).
Everything seems present and accounted for and is in line with the company’s previously released schedule, with no real surprises, unless you count that mysterious Dragon Age title that keeps popping up.
