EL33TONLINE: News tag archive: e32012
E3 2012 is a great opportunity for Sony to drive home the point that its sizeable collection of upcoming exclusives is reason enough to own a PlayStation 3 or PS Vita. With titles like The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension and LittleBigPlanet Vita on the horizon, Sony is likely to draw attention to its first-party line-up while also highlighting third-party support from companies such as Activision, who will be releasing Call of Duty Vita later this year.

A team from El33tonline will be making the long trek to Los Angeles, California for E3 next week. We have a busy schedule of press conferences, presentations and interviews lined-up, and will be bringing you news and pictures live from the event during the week of the 4th to the 7th of June.
And while just three members of the El33t team will be making that trip, the rest of the team will also be following the news from E3 very carefully. Each one of us has their own hopes and dreams of what we’d like to see at the show, and we thought we’d share ‘What we hope to see, what we dream to be’ with you below.

Last week we asked you what feature of E3 2012 you would like us to focus our coverage on as we trawl the floor and halls of the show this year (you can still let us know) but today, this Question of the Day is turning things around and asking you for questions!
What questions do you have for developers at E3 2012?
Konami has just set live a teaser site for an announcement of some kind, which is set to be unveiled on May 31st - the same day as the publisher’s pre-E3 2012 press event.
A little while ago we asked you which game developer and publisher booths you would like to see the most if you were to attend E3 in June this year, and you all had very varied answers!
While El33tonline won’t have a booth at E3 2012 (as many joked), we will be there to cover all of the reveals of unannounced games (there are quite a few…), as well as to speak with developers and get hands-on time with upcoming titles.
We’re also going to be dedicating time to trawling the showfloor of E3 so our Question of the Day for you is:
Through El33tonline’s coverage, what do you want to see at E3 2012?
With E3 2012 less than a month away, there’s plenty of exciting E3-related news issuing forth from various publishers and developers that significantly raises our expectations and anticipation levels for the event. Square Enix recently revealed its E3 line-up and once again Final Fantasy Versus XIII - a game that was unveiled at E3 2006 - is the most significant no-show.
If you can’t make it to E3 this year you can at least stream Microsoft’s press conference to your Xbox 360 and watch it live from the comfort of your living room. This is the first time Microsoft has offered this welcome convenience, and it’s a clear indication of the company’s desire to continually enhance Xbox LIVE’s value as an entertainment service.
We recently heard confirmation that Nintendo will indeed be showing a brand new Super Mario Bros. game at this year’s E3 event in June, running on the company’s next generation Wii U hardware, but that’s not all.
Confirmation has also arrived for an E3 showing of Pikmin 3, a game we’ve known about for quite some time.
Nintendo said in a statement:
It’s been almost two years since a Super Mario game appeared on a Nintendo home console so it comes as no surprise that another entry in this iconic series is in the works for Wii U.
This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo just got a little less exciting, everybody.
In a statement released to the media, Microsoft has confirmed “that there will be no talk of new Xbox hardware at E3” this year “or anytime soon.”
The company went on to confirm the general consensus that Xbox 360 and its range of games, combined with Kinect and its planned titles, will remain Microsoft’s core videogame focus for 2012.
Here’s the full statement as written:
Nintendo has re-confirmed that gamers living in major markets can expect to find the company’s next home console, the Wii U, on store shelves before the end of 2012.
The recent buzz around videogame internet circles has been the reported planned announcements of both the next Xbox from Microsoft, as well as the PlayStation 4 from Sony, at E3 in June this year.
At least one of these consoles will definitely not see a showing at the expo.
What’s been the big rumour doing the rounds this day, January 6th 2012?
Why, nothing less than news surrounding the formal announcements of Sony and Microsoft’s next consoles at E3 this year.
