The talented folks over at Naughty Dog have spent the last few months cooking up more delicious DLC for us to spice up our Uncharted 3 multiplayer sessions with.
An already great game just got a little bit better thanks to the release of Naughty Dog’s latest patch for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Patch 1.02 addresses two major complaints levelled at the singleplayer portion of the game - the absence of Motion Blur and dodgy aiming mechanics - and also brings some welcome tweaks and fixes to Uncharted 3’s multiplayer component.
One of the things which makes Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception so memorable is its intriguing combination of history and mythology. Amy Hennig, creative director and writer on the project, went to great lengths to ensure the historical events underpinning the game’s plot came together to create a believable and compelling ‘What if?’ scenario.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is less than a week away and consequently the internet is being flooded with all manner of related media. Thankfully not all of it is soiled with spoilers for Naughty Dog’s latest epic, as demonstrated by a fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ video detailing the motion capture process for the game.
It’s truly incredible how much action Naughty Dog has managed to squeeze into the latest TV Spot for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. A couple of new story elements are shown, as well as Drake doing some high-speed horse riding overlooking a convoy-filled canyon.
I think it’s safe to say that this is one of the best-looking and most dramatic videogame trailers ever released. Naughty Dog has certainly exploited the PS3’s graphical capabilities in crafting richly detailed environments which dynamically deform as the electrifying set-pieces of Uncharted 3 unfold.
Two years ago Uncharted 2 took the video game world by storm with its incredible graphics, gripping storyline and phenomenal set-pieces. It went on to earn countless accolades, including being voted best PlayStation game of all-time in an Official PlayStation Magazine poll.
Developer Naughty Dog has been slaving away ever since on the next addition to the series - the eagerly awaited Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Today the game went gold, as broadcast by co-president Christophe Balestra via a straightforward tweet.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is looking a likely candidate for the best and most explosive action adventure this year. Offering PS3 players gorgeous graphics, exotic locales and a script filled with both intrigue and the series’ trademark banter between the likeable cast, this game is sure to excite and entertain a broad audience when it releases in early November.
This particular release window is chockablock with titles competing for your hard-earned cash, so it’s important for publishers to differentiate themselves from the competition. Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has done just that by unveiling an awesome Collector’s Edition for Uncharted 3 with the help of celebrity voice actor Nolan North.
