It’s been announced on the Battlefield blog that an expected patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 is now live, most notably addressing the Voice Over IP (VOIP) issues players have been experiencing.
Hardcore Battlefield 3 players the world over have no doubt had their fill of the game’s extensive multiplayer modes and traversed the battlegrounds of the ‘Back to Karkand’ add-on content to the point that they know those fields like their own back yard, so when can we expect even more new content to arrive for DICE’s masterful military shooter?
According to EA’s Peter Ausnit, news on upcoming Battlefield 3 DLC is on the way.
While many people will be doing some emergency Christmas shopping this weekend, PC gamers should rather head over to EA’s digital distribution platform Origin and pick up Battlefield 3 for half-price.
Xbox 360 and PC players, the time is now to grab the first ever add-on content for Battlefield 3 because the long-awaited Back to Karkand is now available on your platform following its release on PlayStation 3.
In addition, a client-side title update for Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 is also available, the details of which you can see below along with a brand new ‘Sharqi Peninsula’ map gameplay trailer.
This just in from DICE, the Back to Karkand expansion pack for Battlefield 3 is now available on the PlayStation Store and in-game store. It will be available as a PS3 exclusive for one week, as will every future expansion pack for the game. You’ll be able to get it for free if you own the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3, otherwise you’ll have to pay $14.99 to get the pack.
The official PlayStation Blog has just let out word of a release date for Battlefield 3’s Back to Karkand expansion pack, confirming the content’s time-exclusive nature.

It’s being widely reported that the latest patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 is now available.
EA and DICE have just revealed that the expected title update for Battlefield 3 on PlayStation 3 will become available tomorrow, November 30th, bringing with it tons (tons!) of additions, fixes and balance changes.
It’s raining patches! Hallelujah!
PC players, you’re getting spoiled rotten by developers as not only has the latest patch for Elder Scrolls V: Skryim just gone live for your platform of choice, but the promised brand new Battlefield 3 title update has been released for gamers who prefer playing with the ol’ keyboard/mouse configuration. Both patches arriving at least a week ahead of console gamers!
What’s in the latest patch for Battlefield 3? Lots, so let’s dig in and see what we can find:
DICE is keen to let us know that the team is “hard at work supporting Battlefield 3,” even as you read this, and they’ve already delivered a host of improvements in terms of stability and performance.
Next week, however, a client update for Battlefield 3 (described as “significant”) will become available for players to enjoy a deluge of new improvements and feature enhancements.
Following its release over the week of October 25th, Battlefield 3 has taken the gaming world by storm, as EA shipped out 10 million copies of the game and managed to sell five million of those in the space of only one week.
Tremendous numbers, you’ll agree, but with those numbers come issues with online infrastructure stability as hundreds of thousands of gamers try to get into multiplayer simultaneously, while other necessary fixes and additions are plainly demonstrated with so many people stress testing the system.
EA has today announced that the publisher’s recently released military-themed first-person shooter, Battlefield 3, has gone on to sell an incredible five million units during its first week on sale, worldwide.
Now that Battlefield 3 has been unleashed around the world (read El33tonline’s review over here), EA and DICE have revealed a few additional details on the upcoming add-on content, Back to Karkand, including release window and price information.

It was always a foregone conclusion that Battlefield 3 would dominate the charts around the world on launch, but publisher EA has never-the-less confirmed that the shooter is on its way to sales victory with the reveal that 10 million units of the game have shipped out worldwide.
Fans across the globe have been counting down to the release of Battlefield 3 for the past few months now, but things have really started to heat up over this week as the timer ticks down slowly to the launch of the game tomorrow.
