The original Devil May Cry was one of the PlayStation 2’s first must-have titles. Released a year after the console’s launch, this critically acclaimed action game felt and looked very ‘next-gen’ back in 2001. Devil May Cry 2 followed in 2003 to mixed reviews but nevertheless managed to sell almost 2 million copies. Two years later Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening all but secured the series’ future with its excellent story, combat and customisation options.
Capcom has today officially taken the wraps off of the much-rumoured high definition collection of Devil May Cry games, which will bundle remastered versions of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3 into a single offering.
