Just yesterday Ubisoft announced that we could expect a demo for Splinter Cell: Conviction sometime in the future. The publisher has since confirmed that the demo will be available a lot sooner than any of us had expected, this Thursday the 18th of March exclusively on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Ubisoft has confirmed that a demo for Splinter Cell: Conviction is in the pipeline for Xbox Live Marketplace.
The game’s Creative Director Maxime Béland announced the good news in a brief Q and A video, although he wouldn’t divulge what map or when the demo will be available.
The US PlayStation Store has been updated for the week with a bevy of awesome content, the likes of which you’ve never seen, or at the very least, you’ve never seen this exact content before, as (what sounds like) like the excellent Mega Man 10 arrives on the store, as well as downloadable content (DLC) for Bioshock 2, entitled the Sinclair Solutions Pack.
DLC for Resident Evil 5, MAG, Race Driver: GRID and Dragon Age: Origins can also be found in amongst the usual assortment of interesting videos (including a new edition of The Tester), themes, PSP content, minis and Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks, so browse on down below for the full list of new content now available on the US PlayStation Store:
This week’s European PlayStation Store update is to be headed up by the release of what is by all accounts another great, classic Mega Man game in Mega Man 10, the first set of downloadable content (DLC) for Bioshock 2 with The Sinclair Solutions Pack, and the Dragon Age: Origin’s Return to Ostagar adventure.
We’ve also got some interesting PSOne classics and minis on the way, some great special price offers (which expire soon!), the appearance of Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake for the PSP, and the usual assortment of videos, themes, and Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks.

Now that the Just Cause 2 demo is available on all platforms that the full game will launch on, it would be a good time to start getting ‘Pumped’ (Layman’s Term: ‘Excited’) and review a few extensive videos showing off all kinds of crazy stunts you’ll be able to pull off in this open-world action adventure sandbox game.

This week’s US PlayStation Store Update is chock-full of content, with demos for Just Cause 2, Major League Baseball 2K10 and MotoGP 09/10, and tons of downloadable content (DLC) for games like Dante’s Inferno, Resident Evil and MLB 10: The Show, amongst others.
The usual assortment of themes, interesting videos, intriguing PSP amusements and Guitar Hero and Rock Band tracks (including The Beatles: Rock Band ‘All You Need is Love’) have also invaded the network this week, so go ahead and browse through the full list of content now available on the US PlayStation Store below:
[Update] The Just Cause 2 demo is now up on the European PlayStation Store [End of Update]
A demo for the highly intriguing and delectably destructive Just Cause 2 recently went up on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, weighing in at a meaty 1GB.
It’s unfortunately tagged for Xbox LIVE Gold members only at the moment, but PS3 owners will also be able to get their hands on the demo just a little later today.
Here’s a suitably action-oriented official description of the game:
Major highlights to appear on the European PlayStation Store this week include the latest round of Resident Evil 5 downloadable content (DLC), which includes the Desperate Escape scenario and a new costume pack, while a Just Cause 2 demo will also emerge later today for you to make things explode in all kinds of exciting ways.
Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgement will also finally make its way onto the European PlayStation Story today, while tons of Karaoke Revolution DLC is also on the way, along with the usual batch of Guitar Hero and Rock Band (plus Beatles Rock Band – All You Need is Love DLC) tracks.

Earlier in the month Eidos revealed that a demo for Just Cause 2 was in the pipeline, but further details on platforms, pricing and release dates were kept under wraps. Today we received confirmation from Square Enix that the “incredible, action-packed” demo for Just Cause 2 will arrive on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and Steam on the 4th of March.
According to the publisher, the demo will feature “a massive 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert, a vast expanse of stunning, sun-scorched scenery taking up just one of the many islands in the 400 square miles of the Panau archipelago. Packed with towns, villages, military installations, mountain ranges, missions and more, the demo will feature an astonishing amount of activities for the player… and opportunities for adrenaline-fuelled chaos are limitless.”
If you’re into real-time strategy games on an incredibly massive scale, then Supreme Commander 2 is definitely the game for you, and if you’ve been itching to get your hands on this title you’re now able to scratch that itch (at least a little) with the release of a PC demo for the game through Steam.
The demo for Supreme Commander 2 will give you access to two levels from the tutorial of the game, as well as two missions from the United Earth Federation (UEF) faction, which forms one part of the Colonial Defense Coalition:
You know what’s cool? God of War III is cool. You know what’s even better? It’s the chance to give God of War III a spin a full half a month before it’s released around the world!
Yep, there is now a God of War III demo right there on your PlayStation Store! Go have a look if you don’t believe me!
Also making an appearance this week are demos for both Darksiders and Digger HD, both of which also beg your attention, while a new downloadable game, Greed Corp, has also risen to the surface.

Gamers across the lands rejoice because God of War III has gone gold in the US and is on track to hit US shelves on the 16th of March.
And that’s not all folks, the E3 demo for the game is also now available to download on the PlayStation Store.
