It’s been over six years since Dead or Alive 4 was released on Xbox 360 so another entry in the series seems long overdue. Dead or Alive 5 promises to take the destructible arenas from past DOA titles to a whole new level and will feature familiar fighters such as Ayane and Kasumi as well as a couple of new faces.

Team Ninja has announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show that the developer will indeed continue the beloved Dead or Alive fighting game series with a fifth iteration, releasing in 2012 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
