If you’ve been considering buy a TV capable of stereoscopic 3D for some more immersive gaming, but you haven’t found enough good reasons to make the leap, the PlayStation Blog has tried to help you out with your purchasing decision!
Sid Shuman has posted up an impressive list of PlayStation 3 games, both available now and releasing in the next few months, that support (or will support) stereo 3D, meaning if you do decided to invest in a 3D TV, you’ll at least have something to play on it.
Here’s the list:
Sometimes, there are pieces of interesting and/or important and/or specific videogame news that pass enthusiasts by as other more interesting and/or important and/or specific videogame news is revealed, but instead of catching up to it eventually, we’re going to try and catch up with it now.
So… what interesting and/or important and/or specific videogame news has emerged over the last few days that we’d like to discuss? The release of downloadable content (DLC) and updates for Brink, SHIFT 2 Unleashed, Fallout: New Vegas and Crysis 2, as well as news on free Witcher 2 DLC:
It’s the end of another week, and the beginning of another long weekend here in South Africa - oh, the humanity!
While we leave you to look over this week’s news, a few competitions that we’ve got running and our most recent reviews, you can find out what the team here at El33tonline will be up to over the next few days:
It’s another chart-topping performance for Zumba Fitness from 505 Games, placing itself at No. 1 for the second week in a row against heavy-hitting opposition.
Sales for Zumba Fitness are only down by 8 percent overall this week, which is good enough for the top spot, and even though the Wii version of the game dropped by 10 percent in sales, this version accounted for 90 percent of units sold, with the older Xbox 360 iteration (sales up 14%) snapping up the rest.
Can you smell that? Sniff. It’s the weekend, and after another busy week at El33t Towers we’re all looking forward to kicking off our shoes, settling into the couch and playing some awesome games. How about you?
Find out what the El33tonline Team will be up to over the next two days to relax as we get ready to bring you more awesome news, reviews and competitions next week.
Crysis 2 is impressive right from the get-go and throttles your attention from the very first cinematic, effortlessly setting the tone for the incredible action, events, set pieces and story to follow.
As you’re slowly introduced to the different characters of the game, the crumbling urban warfare environment of New York City, and the invading alien menace determined to wipe out mankind, you’re given bounteous opportunities to get to grips with the many powers and abilities afforded to you by the super powerful Nanosuit as you crush enemies, turn invisible to outwit your foes and zip around obstacles (living and inanimate) with super speed.
It’s these powers (as well as their upgrades and other abilities) that truly set Crysis 2 apart from any other first-person shooter available, providing you with a non-linear playground to approach missions in almost any way you wish, with all of the trimmings of spectacular visuals, audio and production values to elevate the experience well above similar offerings.

Well isn’t this a surprise?
After rocketing into the coveted Top Ten list of best selling games in the UK last week, Chart Track is reporting that Zumba Fitness (sales down 49%) is this week’s number one top seller in the region, surpassing two-time chart topper Crysis 2 to get there.
Chart Track tells us that this is the first time a title from 505 Games has hit No. 1, and is the first fitness game since Wii Fit Plus in late 2009 to achieve the feat.
As a result, Crysis 2 (sales down 57%) has to move to unfamiliar ground and occupies No. 2 on the listing.
It’s the end of a very busy week here at El33tonline, as we posted up more competitions, new batches of reviews, and tons of exciting (and disappointing) news!
It’s time to rest up, though, and what better way to do that than by meeting up with friends, powering up your favourite gaming platform, spinning up your favourite game, and immersing yourself in some digital delights? If there are better ways to spend your time, I would like to hear them! Mountain climbing? Pah! The beach? Please. Going to a movie?
OK, that actually sounds good, but gaming trumps them all!
Find out what we here at El33tonline will be up to over the next two days to relax and recharge for next week:

In a chat with Gears of War 3 executive producer Rod Fergusson, CVG recently found out that the team at Epic Games is expecting to squeeze out as much information as it possibly can from the upcoming multiplayer beta test for the studio’s blockbuster action game, and will then use this data to make the online experience of Gears of War 3 even better than it already looks to be.
How does Epic intend going about collecting this information that is so vital to improving the game? With over a million beta testers. In the interview Fergusson said:
In a week full of new game releases in the UK, it’s EA and Crytek’s mighty Crysis 2 that manages to claim the top spot on Chart Track’s software sales chart for the region, sitting at No. 1 for the second week in a row.
It’s that glorious time of the week once again when we can sit back, relax and get some more gaming time in. So apart from wishing you all a great weekend, here’s a sneak peek into what the El33tonline team is looking forward to playing this weekend:
EA and Crytek’s astounding first-person shooter, Crysis 2, was released only last week across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and has gone on to drop the jaws of everyone able to clap eyes on this mighty title.
Everything about Crysis 2 is incredibly impressive, from the beautiful graphics and visceral sound effects, to the non-stop set-piece action and excellent abilities you can use to gain the upper hand in battles against vicious enemies!
For such a mighty game, El33tonline and EA South Africa teamed up to give you a chance to win a mighty prize – the amazing Nano Edition of Crysis 2 for Xbox 360!
After asking you to complete a story for entry to this Crysis 2 competition, we here at El33tonline were completely overwhelmed by the incredible responses – they are all absolutely fantastic!
El33tonline is extra proud and privileged to be able to share the site with all of you creative and talented p33ps, and thanks so much to everybody for entering and bringing your visions of Crysis 2 to El33tonline.com!
Unfortunately, we’re only able to hand out a single Crysis 2 Nano Edition (we would have loved to give everybody a massive box of Crysis 2 goodies) as the package is so limited, so without further ado, the winner of this mind-blowing prize is…
This edition of the El33tonline Podcast is a little different.
This week we’ve split the podcast for the week of March 28th into two parts, with two distinctive points of interest. Unfortunately, we didn’t record with this split in mind so the cleave is a little rough this time – in the future, everything will be much smoother.
What can you find in part one and part two of this week’s El33tonline Podcast?
This week, Chart Track’s UK Software sales listing is invaded by no less than nine titles for the Nintendo 3DS, as seven of those games make it into the Top Twenty, but which multiplatform game managed to rise above the rest and hit No. 1 on the chart?
Crysis 2.
