South African videogame retailer BT Games has a history of breaking the news on unannounced titles, the last of which was God of War IV which the store slapped with a February 23rd 2013 release date along with a pre-order offer.
Of course, we couldn’t pass up the chance to order the game.
An exciting announcement from Sony Computer Entertainment is due any day now… this week, in fact, with a teaser image recently appearing on the company’s Facebook page outing a date of ‘April 19th.’
What might be revealed on this date? With talk of vengeance and redemption, all signs point to a new entry to the God of War franchise, God of War IV being the most obvious one.
This isn’t the first time we’ve been teased (and outright smacked) with God of War IV news, though.
Leading South African retailer BT Games has announced ‘big’ plans to expand its reach and appeal in our country. The company will be rolling out new ‘XL’ stores in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban during the course of this year which will emphasise customer interaction with games prior to purchase.
According to a listing on the site of South African videogame retailer BT Games, God of War IV is due for release in February 2013.
They may have begun in Australia, but the launch festivities for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 still aren’t over as evidenced by images and news arriving from our gaming friends on the west coast of North America, and the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco in particular!
While the countdown continues in other parts of the world, there are people in some countries lucky enough to have already got the chance to lay hands on their retail copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3… like a bunch of fine fellows and fellowettes in Australia!

Activision and Treyarch’s mega-blockbuster first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops, is launching tonight at midnight around the world.
Perhaps you’ve heard of this game before? Set during the Cold War period with jaunts in the Vietnam War? Superb cinematic presentation and insane action sequences? Extensive and excessive multiplayer features?
Yes, that Call of Duty: Black Ops.
In recognition of the game’s massive appeal, videogame retail giant GameStop is set to provide Black Ops with a fantastic platform for success by hosting the most midnight launch locations for a game ever.
