Take-Two Interactive has released its financial report for the publisher’s first fiscal quarter of 2010 ending January 31st, which saw net revenue rise, net losses fall, and restructuring efforts paying off.
Gearbox Software has announced that the third DLC for Borderlands, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, will be available for the Xbox 360 on the 23rd of February (that’s today!) and on the 25th of February for the PS3 and PC.
It’s been revealed that there will be 10 new achievements for the upcoming third DLC for Borderlands, The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx. These new achievements will give all you gamerscore-hungry gamers out there the opportunity to earn 250 additional gamerscore.
Earlier in the month Gearbox Software announced that a character from the upcoming third add-on pack (titled The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx) for Borderlands would have a Twitter account and would dispense information from it.
Well it seems as if the character has been revealed and it appears to be none other than General Knoxx himself!
Earlier in the week Gearbox Software revealed that a character from the upcoming third add-on pack for Borderlands (titled The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx) would have a Twitter account and would dispense information from it.
Gearbox Software has given us the heads-up that a new update for the PC version of Borderlands is now available.
Update 1.21 improves multiplayer connectivity so that “users should no longer be required to forward ports to host or join multiplayer games.” The 3D vision crosshair has also been improved and good news if you were one of those players who experienced distorted shadows or graphical glitches after update 1.0.1, you shouldn’t have these issues anymore.
Last week Gearbox Software confirmed that it was working on a third add-on pack for Borderlands, its popular role playing shooter.
The new expansion is called The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx and according to the developer will be the biggest round of DLC yet. So far we know that the new DLC will be aimed at players around 34 to 50 and that it will raise the level cap above 50 and introduce new weapons and enemies in a huge new environment. It will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC later this year, although a specific release date and pricing have not yet been announced.
2K Games and Gearbox Software have already released two add-on packs for their popular role playing shooter Borderlands (The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot) with another one (The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx) in the pipeline.

Now gamers will have the chance to buy the first two add-on packs on a double disc titled the Borderlands Add-On Pack. According to retailer GameStop the double DLC disc will be available on the 23rd of February for $19.99 for the Xbox 360 and PC. Currently there is no listing for a PS3 version of the add-on pack.
One week ago Gearbox Software revealed that it was working on a third add-on pack for its popular role playing shooter Borderlands. The developer assured us that the next round of DLC would be the biggest yet and would contain a level cap increase.
Now Gearbox has announced that the new expansion will be called The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx and will not only raise the level cap above 50 but introduce new weapons and enemies too in a “huge new environment.” We don’t know exactly when the new DLC will be available yet (other than this year) or how much it will cost, but we do know that the new quests will be aimed at players around level 34 to 50 and that it will be arriving on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
The first content update of 2010 has arrived on the European PlayStation Store, with bunches of special price offers, new games, downloadable content and demos arriving today.
One of the top pieces of content is the demo for Dark Void, the jetpack featuring action adventure game from Airtight Games and Capcom. Also be sure to have a look at the latest Borderlands DLC, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot.

The latest downloadable content (DLC) for Borderlands, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, may well have already released on Xbox LIVE for 800 MS Points, but it’s yet to arrive on the PS3 or PC, so while those of us without an Xbox 360 wait for the DLC to arrive (on January 7th for PS3 and later this year on PC), we can enjoy some fantastically stylish videos featuring the new content and backstory that will be added to Borderlands.
Game Informer has posted up a great list of things you may not have known about Borderlands, what went into making it, and how certain elements of the game came to be.
For example, did you know that there were roughly 64 000 check-ins (where new code and art additions are submitted to a central development database) during the development of Borderlands? What about the fact that not only was ClapTrap the last character added to the game, but was also voiced by a Gearbox employee?
Even if you knew those things about Borderlands (which is doubtful), there are a bunch more behind-the-scenes titbits available for you to read below:
The European PlayStation Store update heading out today is chock-full of interesting content, including a PSP mini game by the name of Dracula: Undead Awakening, a PS3 downloadable game called Madden NFL Arcade, demos for Comet Crash and Mushroom Wars, Fallout 3 downloadable content (DLC), the Borderlands Zombie Island DLC, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast DLC, and much more.

Check out the new screenshots from the DLC below to see what lies in wait for you. You can also check out the first trailer for the DLC, which shows off snippets of gameplay and crazy environments from the new content, and read E33tlonline’s review of the full game to see what you’re missing.
The weekly PlayStation Store update has come early to citizens of the US, bringing with it a host of new content and a ton of special price offers on a variety of PSOne Classics, PSP minis and PS3 downloadable games.
In an effort to accommodate Thanksgiving holiday, US PlayStation Network users now have access to price discounts and exciting content such as Gravity Crash, the Borderlands Zombie Island DLC, Dino Crisis as a PSOne Classic, as well as Tekken 6 and LittleBigPlanet for the PSP.
