If there is one game that many PC gamers were looking forward to for quite some time now, it’s Diablo III. The hype machine kicked in years ago (right after Diablo II was released…) and somehow kept the momentum going. Through online petitions about the art style and April fool’s jokes about ponies shooting rainbows, the game finally arrived on store shelves. Having played the online beta I had a good idea of what to expect, and the end result did not disappoint.

Blizzard Entertainment has just announced that the studio’s recently released Diablo III has effortlessly entered the record books to become the fastest-selling PC game in history, as more than 3.5 million copies of the action RPG were sold on day one.
It doesn’t stop there, though.
Hey Diablo III players, here’s a quick heads-up about a game-breaking issue (or bug, if you insist) that will result in you being logged off of the Diablo servers and essentially locked out of the game.
What game release this year will require your body to be in peak physical shape? No, it’s not the next Disney Kinect game, but rather Diablo III - the immense amount of clicking required will soon separate the heroes from the chaff!
Are you one of roughly a few hundred thousand (or even a few million?) gamers trying to log into Blizzard’s servers right now to enjoy Diablo III?
Then there’s a good chance you’ve encountered ‘Error 37,’ a message that has already become infamous and the bane of wannabe Diablo players the world over only an hour after the game’s servers went live in the US.
Don’t worry, though: Blizzard is on the case!
Happy Diablo III Tuesday everybody! We hope everyone who braved the night and midnight launch lines was able to get their copy of the game, and if you’re picking it up today, enjoy it to the max!
To help El33tonline ring in this momentous occasion - a day that’s been over a decade in the making - friend and reader MacDeath_ZA rose to our challenge and submitted an awesome, epic Diablo III poem!

So, maybe you haven’t been following the development and release schedule of Blizzard’s soon-to-be-unleashed action RPG, Diablo III? Maybe you don’t know your Deckard Cain from your Baal? Or your Leah from your Demon Hunter? Your Sanctuary from your Tristram?
Don’t worry: Blizzard Entertainment is more than willing to catch you up on the backstory of the studio’s Diablo series in time for the launch of Diablo III around the world tonight at midnight.
With the release of a hair-raising TV advert for Blizzard Entertainment’s action RPG, Diablo III, the countdown has well and truly begun for the game’s release on May 15th, when the world of Sanctuary is invaded by Azmodan’s hellish Armies of Shadow.
Evil is back. Will you take up the call and fight for the Armies of Light?
If you’ve got some time to spare this weekend then you may be interested to know that the Diablo III beta is open to all PC and Mac gamers over the next four days. The beta allows you to team up with friends, choose from any of the five heroic classes, and develop your character up to a maximum level of 13.
Finally.
Finally, Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a launch date for the studio’s long-awaited action RPG, Diablo III. Finally, we can circle a date on the calendar so we know when will once again be able to return to Tristram and save Sanctuary from an invasion of demons, as has been foretold.
It’s Diablo III. Not Diablo 3. Not D3. Not anything else. Diablo III.
It is not often that a game has such a strong following and so many people get the name wrong. It is also not often that a single game can have such a massive level of expectation and criticism aimed at it at the same time. But then, Blizzard is not just any developer, and Diablo III is not just any game and I recently had the chance to play through the early levels of the game as part of its on-going beta.
The town of Tristram in the land of Sanctuary has been cleansed of the demon hordes by the heroes of Diablo II more than twenty years before. In the process they have gone mad from their ordeal and it is now up to new heroes to take their place and, if you hadn’t guess by now, the foul demon undead creatures are back!

A recent Twitter kerfuffle has lead many to believe that Blizzard Entertainment is working full-time on a console version of its upcoming Diablo III action RPG, with signs of a ‘confirmation’ arriving from the studio’s community manager Bashiok.
This isn’t exactly the case…
Blizzard Entertainment is not only the master of CG sequences but a master storyteller, too, able to effortlessly weave an enthralling narrative with tales of ancient demons, epic battles and fantastic, long-forgotten lore.
Combined with those CG sights and sounds, the studio’s stories are always spellbinding until the very last frame, before the game whisks you away into the adventure with fiendishly addictive gameplay.
The latest and greatest update to Blizzard Entertainment’s enormous (and massively) multiplayer online RPG, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, recently went live to bring your game up to version 4.3.
New to World of Warcraft with this patch adds a whole new raid and new dungeons, a new quest line, new armour sets, a Raid Finder tool, as well as features known as ‘Armour Transmogrification’ and ‘Void Storage.’
I hope those mean something to World of Warcraft players, because it’s all Orc to me.
