The Vietnam expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 isn’t even out yet, and EA and DICE are promising additional new content!
If you weren’t aware, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – Vietnam will become available for Bad Company 2 owners on December 21st on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and December 18th for PC gamers on Steam and over the EA Store.
This new multiplayer offering adds a host of new weapons, vehicles and maps (naturally all themed around the Vietnam conflict) to vanilla Bad Company 2, but if you and your fellow gamers are able to reach a very special achievement, you’ll be rewarded with an extra map.
EA and DICE have announced official release dates for the companies’ upcoming Vietnam expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and hot dang if they’re not cutting it close!
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players, you had best get prepared for a new onslaught of fixes scheduled to head your way very soon, as it’s recently been announced that a major game update is to be released between tonight and tomorrow (GMT 00:01 2010-11-24 to GMT 00:01 2010-11-25) for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
A similar patch will be available for PC and Xbox 360 gamers soon, too.
The update will serve as preparation for the release of the announced VIP Map Pack 7, as well as the massive Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam later this year (still no date on that…), while a number of fixes will also be included - get the full list of those fixes below.
Although their effects can be cruel and devastating in real life, in the wonderful (safe) world of videogames, flamethrowers are ‘the business’ and always fun to use as an effective clearance tool.
By the looks of a new trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam, this trend of awesome-looking, useful and fun flamethrower use in videogames is set to continue, as this specific weapon is highlighted in fantastic series of action scenes.
Looking great!
Thanks to the release of a brand new and wholly destructive trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam, we now know how much we’re going to be expected to pay for the expansion pack when it’s available later this year.
The first batch of screenshots and the new trailer for DICE and EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam have been released today, fresh from Tokyo Game Show 2010.
It’s all looking simply fantastic, and is sure to bring a completely new experience to Bad Company 2 when the expansion releases later this year.

Please forgive us for posting up over-the-shoulder, direct-feed footage of a game, but when the game in question is a highly anticipated expansion to a highly enjoyable game that we think very highly of, we tend to get a little bit excited.
Hence, the below-appearing video showcasing the Vietnam expansion to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 which includes roughly seven minutes of gameplay, as DICE product manager Kevin O’Leary walks you through some of the features and highlights that the package will offer.
The video is still awfully good quality for what it is (and it is what it is), and you’ll be able to sample the visual delight of Bad Company 2 multiplayer in a very different setting than what you’re used to:
During EA’s E3 press event, the company revealed that an expansion would soon become available for the extremely popular (to the tune of 5 million units sold) Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Add a ‘Vietnam’ at the end of that title, and you’ll not only know what this expansion is called, but the subject matter and setting of the game as well.
