EL33TONLINE: News tag archive: battlefield3
It’s the best day of the week - it’s Friday! What makes it even better is that it’s Battlefield Friday.
Are you ready to pick up your gun again and show the enemy that you will never back down? Well, join us this evening and show the world how brave you are!
Last week Friday was the big daddy of all gaming evenings. Yes, I’m talking about Battlefield 3 Friday. Like every Friday, it was guaranteed to be filled with loads of action, fun and many “OH NO” moments. Trust me by saying that Friday was truly awesome. The evening started off with me taking on Piglet DE & CrazyErick on my own. Me with my P90 and them with their Havoc Attack Chopper. They had all the objectives captured, so I knew the task for me to take them all is going to be a real challenge. I managed to take point Alpha by gunning down both of them, making my defensive stand a good one. But anyone will tell you, taking on a Attack Chopper with only a machine gun and a handgun is tough.
Once you get invested in a great book, reading about the characters, action and events and seeing it all play out in your mind’s eye can be just as immersive as playing through a great videogame. A book obviously isn’t interactive (unless you’re working through a heinous ‘choose your own adventure’), but certainly equally enjoyable to readers.
So it’s with great pleasure that we reveal who will be receiving copies of Andy McNab’s novel, Battlefield 3: The Russian, to allow two El33tonline community members the chance to read through the adventure of the franchise, rather than play through it.
I was very sad that I missed last week’s Battlefield Friday, but another Friday has arrived and I’m back with my pakkie plysters and ready to support my squad, because team work is key on the battlefield.
The most important day of the week has arrived for the El33t_platoon: Battlefield Friday, the day of awesomeness. This Friday won’t be anything different to other Battlefield 3 sessions: It’s going to be filled with all of the cries of “oooh” the “aaah” and “Revive me” that we know so well.
Will you stand together with your team? Will you fight together with your Team? And will you stay alive together with you Team?
Every Friday, my weekend starts off with a big bang: Bullets flying, people screaming, laughter and just pure awesomeness. Last week Friday was no different with some added funny happenings.
It’s funny how a shorter week can seem longer than a normal one. But never fear, because the weekend is upon us again and we’ve got some awesome relaxing and gaming time planned!
Today is the first Battlefield Friday for the month of May. It’s become a part of us, like a ritual. Everyone who knows me knows where to find me on a Friday evening and knows not to disrupt me. If they want to talk to me, join in on the action of Battlefield 3!
Thanks to CrazyErick we now have a dedicated Battlefield 3 Server. If there is no space for you to join, then we will remove an unknown soldier so you can hop on - we’ll fill the server with players we have in our Army of El33t Soldiers. This army just dominates the map - nobody stands a chance when we start storming the battlefield!
EA and DICE have just sent out an all-new trailer for the upcoming Battlefield 3 downloadable content, Close Quarters, showcasing one of the new maps included in the DLC being torn to shreds by gunfire and grenades.
Crushing!

Last week Friday we had our war boots on and our trigger fingers ready to go as we headed into Battlefield 3. From the word ‘go,’ you could see the war was in full force as buildings were destroyed, tanks burned, bodies lay everywhere and the occasional “Revive me!” was screamed over the headset.
It’s that time of the week when we breathe a sigh of relief and take some time out to relax, spend time with friends and family, and put our feet up with a controller in our hands.
Here’s what we’ll be up to this weekend, what will you be doing?
This week has gone so fast, but I’m not complaining as it means Battlefield 3 Friday can happen sooner. Not that I have to wait for Friday to play Battefield 3, but the action on a Friday is just that more epic.
On Friday the 13th the sound of war and gunfire became louder and louder as the day went on, and when the clock hit 8pm, all out war was upon us. Your brave leader POItjie jumped in to safe the women and children and was defending his position with pride and skill.
Just when he thought he wouldn’t be able to keep the enemies suppressed anymore, back-up arrived: Second-in-Command Smuroh joined the battle to secure victory!

We’re bored of the top performers in the Xbox LIVE Activity ranking. Call of Duty this. Call of Duty that. FIFA and Battlefield and Halo… and more Call of Duty!
The most interesting thing that happened in the most-played Xbox 360 chart this past week is that Skyrim managed to move up two places to No. 7. Yep. Kinda boring.
What’s exciting? Fez!
Slow and steady wins the race, plain sailing at an even pace… it’s Friday… and… there’s no energy left to complete that rhyme.
We’re signing off for today after an exciting week of news, previews, interviews and media from Capcom’s Captivate 2012 showcase event, with new reveals for Resident Evil 6, DmC, Dragon’s Dogma and more, as well as the surprise announcement of Lost Planet 3!
Before we slink off into the night, a few members of El33tonline let us know what they’ll be up to this weekend, so it’s only fair that you tell us what games you’ll be playing over the next two days, too:
