Surely the 2012 edition of the BAFTA Game Awards were cleaned up by Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls V: Skryim, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3 and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?
Nope.
In fact, after receiving a number of nominees for this year’s awards ceremony, none of them received a single final nod, while titles like Portal 2, Battlefield 3 and Batman: Arkham City swept up most of the awards at the show.

The nominees for the videogame segment of this year’s BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards have been announced in a mighty list of categories spanning ‘Action,’ ‘Artistic Achievement,’ ‘Debut Game’ and many, many more.
Included in the lists are mainstay award winners such as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, LA Noire, Bastion, Battlefield 3 and others, but the question is, which game are you rooting for?
This ultra-prestigious award ceremony will take place on March 16th, with a live-stream happening on the BAFTA games website, but for now, here is the full, massive list of nominees for 2012’s BAFTA Game Awards:
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the full list of nominations for this year’s videogame portion of the academy’s awards ceremony.
With Red Dead Redemption not being considered for a BAFTA game award this year (Rockstar declined the opportunity to be nominated), victory opportunities have been opened up for other worthy games including Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Bioshock 2, God of War III and Call of Duty: Black Ops in the ‘Action’ category.
Fifteen other categories will also feature on the night to honour numerous great games from 2010.
