The adult adventure game Catherine has officially been stamped with a European release date. Although we already knew the game would be hitting shelves in February, developer Atlus had not shared information of the exact date with us…until now that is.

Gamers with a penchant for quirky limited editions will want to take a good look at publisher Deep Silver’s recently announced ‘Stray Sheep Edition’ for adult adventure Catherine.

The game will be released in European territories sometime during February next year, and for £15 extra (i.e. £55) you can pick up the limited edition of Catherine on either PS3 or Xbox 360.

Catherine has been a huge success for developer Atlus thus far, with over half a million copies sold since it was released in Japan and the US earlier this year.

Fortunately this quirky title for PS3 and Xbox 360 will also be making its way to European territories next year thanks to Dead Island publisher Deep Silver. The game was recently pegged for a February release, with the exact date to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Developer Frozenbyte has revealed a new game mode for Trine 2, the upcoming co-operative physics-based action-platformer.

The new game mode is called Unlimited Mode, and allows you and your friends to “use any variation of the three heroes that you might want.”

Demon’s Souls has one of the most active and passionate online communities on the PlayStation Network, yet publisher Atlus was originally intending to shut down the game’s servers as early as next month in order to save on operation and maintenance costs.

You’ve probably seen dozens of video game trailers in your lifetime, but the first official trailer for the English version of Catherine is sure to stand out from the crowd.

Last month I mentioned Atlus was asking fans to submit YouTube video responses to a few personal questions on relationships. Its intention was to use this fan feedback in an upcoming trailer for the game.

A large part of Catherine’s gameplay involves moving blocks around so you can climb to the top of a tower before it collapses. Each tower’s apex is your ticket to a safe exit from the central character Vincent’s nightmares.

It seems certain sections of these block puzzles caused many Japanese gamers a great deal of frustration. An Atlus representative speaking to Gamespot has confirmed that the gameplay in the North American version of Catherine has been tweaked or “rebalanced” to make life a little easier for U.S. players.
