If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber you may want to take a closer look at this list of what you can expect to be available this month.
The new content will be released in two publishes, on the 12th of July and the 19th of July, and will include Golden Axe and Guerilla War for free as well as a full game trial of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
You’ll want to circle the 19th of July update because the 2K Summer Sale starts then. PlayStation Plus users will be able to download the Borderlands full bundle, including full game and all 4 pieces of add-on DLC, for $14.99 (sale price is $19.99).

This March, PC gamers will finally be able to see what all the hoopla is about as far as Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is concerned when the game releases on ‘The Big Beige Box’ (or ‘The Neon Flasher,’ as you like).
On March 18th in the UK and Europe, and March 17th in North America, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will launch into retail for PC gamers, complete with additional pieces of downloadable content… and no digital rights management (as decried in Ubisoft’s previous efforts on the PC).
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the full list of nominations for this year’s videogame portion of the academy’s awards ceremony.
With Red Dead Redemption not being considered for a BAFTA game award this year (Rockstar declined the opportunity to be nominated), victory opportunities have been opened up for other worthy games including Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Bioshock 2, God of War III and Call of Duty: Black Ops in the ‘Action’ category.
Fifteen other categories will also feature on the night to honour numerous great games from 2010.
In a recent earnings call, Ubisoft revealed that the most recent entry to the incredibly successful Assassin’s Creed franchise, Brotherhood, has managed to rack up worldwide sales approaching seven million copies since its release in November 2010, while the next iteration of the franchise is set to be announced in less than three month’s time.
The winner of this year’s Writers Guild of America Award was recently announced to be Ubisoft’s excellent Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, beating back the writing efforts contained in other nominated games such as God of War III, Fallout: New Vegas, Singularity and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.
EA and Visceral Games’ top-notch Dead Space 2 has managed to remain at No. 1 on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing for the second week in a row, joining a very elite class of games that have managed to accomplish this feat so far this year… despite a 47% drop in sales compared to the week previous.
Can this action horror game go three weeks in a row at the top?
Apart from Test Drive Unlimited 2 releasing this week, there won’t be much new competition for the top title on the chart, but FIFA 11 (sales up 28%) and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (sales down 5%) are still looking dangerous at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, both of which shifted up one spot since the previous listing was released.
Now that 2010 has been capped with the release of December NPD sales data, and following difficult calculations like addition, subtraction, division and multiplication, and the storing of this data in a time machine for future calculations, we can have a look at the top-selling games of 2010.
If you follow these numbers on a monthly basis, then there won’t be any surprises… save for one. Possibly. Have a look at the top-ten best-selling games of 2010 in the US below:
Good afternoon El33tonline p33ps! We’ve drawn the winners in our Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood competition…details after the jump.

It was rumoured into existence before the game had even been released, but now Ubisoft has confirmed the speculation: The character of Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid franchise does indeed make an appearance in the publisher’s latest open-world action game, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
How do you unlock the skin of this guest star? Simply by completing various tasks in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’s virtual training mode – the video below will help clue you in:
Despite a massive 60 percent drop in sales compared to the week previous, and despite the hostile advances of hugely popular games like FIFA 11 and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: Black Ops is back at No. 1 on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing.

Ubisoft recently casually announced that, in the space of one week, the publisher’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood has managed to sell an incredible 1 million units across Europe.
Speaking in an interview with MCV, Ubisoft’s chief of marketing and sales for EMEA, Geoffroy Sardin mentioned the whopping number in passing:
The Assassin’s Creed series of open-world, sandbox action adventure games has gone from strength to strength since the original game in 2007… well, that’s not entirely correct. More accurately, and taking into consideration the latest entry, this franchise has gone from embryonic, to professional weight lifter, to Superman in three years!
That’s a weird analogy, I’ll admit, but it’s perfectly accurate - Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is absolutely mighty, and compared to Ubisoft’s first efforts with the original game, the series has evolved well beyond what could have been expected from its humble beginnings, containing both an enormous singleplayer campaign with an all new and intriguing story, as well as a very interesting and entertaining multiplayer mode.
