Army of Two: The 40th Day is a game that exceeded my expectations, providing a non-stop explosive and adrenaline-filled ride from start to finish. It’s a title that has rolled up a satisfying shooting experience with outstanding environments to deliver a very entertaining gaming experience.
This was my first introduction to bad boys Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem, mercenaries who pull off dangerous assignments for their own private military corporation, TransWorld Operations (TWO). Although Salem immediately comes across as more of a handsome devil than Rios whose face is notably scarred, it’s definitely a case of ‘bros before hoes’ with them. This army of two is first and foremost hardcore, but still with a dash of humour and sarcasm (most notably provided by Salem who is voiced by the wonderfully talented Nolan North of Uncharted fame) thrown in every now and again to shake things up a bit.

Bad boys Salem and Rios have been pretty busy lately. In addition to saving Shanghai from complete destruction in Army of Two: The 40th Day, the hardcore duo have also been on world tour to promote the game.
Watch the hilarity below as they chase pigeons below the Eiffel Tower, steal a Hollywood star, rip up some green turf and show off their arm wrestling skills.

EA have released a funny little video featuring the two principle characters from their upcoming action shooter, Army of Two: The 40th Day, going about their basic, everyday work lives.
In the case of the video, though, it doesn’t involve shooting hooligans in the face, but rather a casual day at the office.
Hilarity ensues.
Watch below:
EA announced late yesterday that a sequel to their coolly received co-operative third-person shooter, Army of Two, will be receiving a sequel at the end of the year in the guise of Army of Two: The 40th Day, now in development at EA Montreal, and slated for release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP.
The 40th Day will feature the protagonists from the original Army of Two, namely Elliot Salem and Tyson Rios, as the pair of mercenaries find themselves in Shanghai, China in the midst of “a disaster of epic proportions.” Good thing the disaster isn’t small. From the press release:
“When a disaster of epic proportions strikes Shanghai, China, Rios and Salem find themselves right in the middle of it all – the wrong place, the wrong time, but the right team.
“A carefully orchestrated series of mysterious catastrophes is dragging Shanghai to the brink of ruin, and now the Army of Two must fight their way through ravaged city districts as they try to beat the odds and uncover the secret of the 40th Day.”
Sounds intense. A “bigger, better, more organic and immersive co-op” experience is also promised when Army of Two: The 40th Day hits stores this winter.
